i will buy a new pc next month and i will buy: AMD athlon 64 x2 5400+ 65Watt 2,8GHz.

but if u want some good information u can try googling for something like "Intel Core 2 Duo vs. AMD Athlon 64 X2"

*edit: if u want a quadcore take intel! amds aren't good atm...

hm.. i all the time use AMD (6 years now) and i never had any problems, so i think AMD better Happy

Now i use AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+

it's like compareing "soft" and "warm" Big grin

btw my vote goes to intel, its subjective coz i didnt used amd and intel with same mhz in close time, amd cheaper but worse imho

and btw about googleing - its doent works every time coz now internet very strong instrument of promotion products so intel as amd can spend "some" money to flood all sites with articles with good or bad words about theirs products Happy

AMD is considered to buy the "cheap" but effective option in my place... However I use Intel for a long time now so I voted for it.In my curent system I use quadcore and I am satisfied enough with it.I am not however with my vga but this is another story Laughing

ATM its Intel, but I voted F2 since I am an AMD fan...and Barcelona series CPU (that is coming very soon - this year) will justify my vote Cool

Intel is better for now. AMD Phenoms are good too but, they are not a revolution like core2duo was. AMD's are cheaper but have nice performance too.

Intel is best right now! AMD was better then Intel before. But I'm not sure what I like most, I like both of them Tongue
