Winxp Defrag
@foks
Sounds good if it works. Sure it will wait though? Looks to me like it'd (try to) run everything at the same time and if that fails, waiting for the first to finish and then going on to the next is just too much to hope from in a world under the laws of Murphy
@ara
Not really sure what you're saying x) Can Ashampoo defrag one disk at a time in scheduled order? F.e I start it, go to sleep and when I wake up it has defragged 3 disks?
lol?
it's defrag program for your computer^^
it runs the whole time, it defrags nearly whole the time, you don't can shut down comp than go sleep
look at the screen...
Yeah, that Ashampoo defrag is pretty cool, i'm using it myself. It runs in the background, and if you launch some resource-hogger, it auto suspends itself to not steal from the resource pool and slow your programs down. Of course, it is something you have to pay for...
*khem*
Oho, I don't trust shit like that at all. "Yeah this program will automatically stop hogging your resources when you don't want it t-" BANG g'bye.
And I don't think me or Ara gets at all what the other is saying so nevermind x)

Ye im sure it will do exactly what i said. I grew up on DOS, used it long after people switched to win98
Just remember to run the .bat file before you go to sleep.
And in the morning, if its still not done, hit ctrl+c and stop it.
NOTE: you can also add that bat to your scheduler, so it runs automatically each week.
Just type:
AT XX:XX /every:friday_or_something c:\something\mybatfile.bat
Hey, can any of these schedule defragging of several disks one after another? 'cause I'm not bothered about shutdown and stuff (my computer's hardly ever off) but it's kinda dumb that I can only tell the windows tool to defrag one disk before going to sleep and when I wake up it could perhaps have defragged the other two aswell if only it was scheduled.
(I don't know if windows scheduled activities-thingie can be set up to defrag certain disks at certain times but since I don't know exactly how long my disks actually take to defrag it doesn't really help anyway. If anyone has any suggestions I've missed though I'm all ears.)
i have good new for you. Perfect disk can do that in the same time
(how you can see on attached picture)
Cool, cool. Thanks all
Ok thank you Beasty, I will try that, after I have done some research on it
