QConnect update

Recently I've found the old sources to QConnect and decided to fix it up and release a first public version.

This is an early version and does not contain all planed features. But it already can fully replace the old QConnect and offers a bit more comfort, e.g. it will ask you for a password before joining a password protected server.

Basically it will allow you to click on such links to join a server.
Join BEER.FREEZER!

If you start the main application, you will have access to a basic server browser, your personal local server spider, if you want. It also features an auto-update and will tell you once an update is available.

Not sure yet if it's worth to dedicate more time to this/add more/new features. Let's start with this and see how it works out.

nice one easy ,tnx. But, i chose the favourites and after closing the program and opening it again they are not saved (opens by default)

I was using the old one a couple of days ago an i couldn't get it to work, then I saw a link to download the new qconnect in the spider didn't know you updated it but it works well with no errors.

For me the links on the e+ spider dont work anymore. I have the new qconnect, downloaded and pointing to q3.exe, all i get is the windows explorer opening up to search a file, click q3.exe and it starts game, but not online. Its only the links that are an issue, the built in browser with qconnect, I can connect no problems. Anyone else have this problem? and know a fix?

i have an issue: can't get serverlist shown - instead it always shows text 'Serverlist empty...' (and 'Playerlist empty...' in the playerlist). connection is allowed in firewall. firewall reports that 1st connection qconnects makes at startup to excessiveplus, has some data sent in both direction (143/492 bytes out/in), and consequent refreshes give 61 byte sent to the excessiveplus with no data got in response.

also, when it can't get info from a server (in case when connection is blocked by firewall) it somehow writes that server is full and suggests autoconnect later.

edit: i'm running winxp sp3.

somehow it doesn't work in winxp sp3 and win7 (with or without firewall), but works fine in ubuntu under wine, which is quite funny.

I blocked mine via firewall anyways and still simply use e+ spider Winking
