350-450W event don't have 12V GPU connector

PSUs do age and there is more to it then just W - as said.

also I build a pc quite some time ago with a 430w PSU having a fx6300 and a radeon 7790, no problem, basically that PSU was overpowered for that. And they do have a 6/8 pin GPU connector.

dood, its a part of my job to know the differences.
There have been a lot of improvements regarding standards, effectivity and security. Old age PSU tend to give out less stable voltage which may result in burning hardware.

and i mention QUALITY , no matter of the age, the quality is the key.

There are AT PSU that still works, in contrast to some NEW ATX Tongue
