Hi,

It seems there is a bug for sv_master5 cvar.
It is forced to the value "" and default is master0.excessiveplus.net

I have put the ip instead of master0.excessiveplus.net but it is always replaced
and q3 try to resolve master0.excessiveplus.net.

I have tryed to set in shell commande +set sv_master5 but hasn't worked.

other sv_master cvars have worked.

But actually I have a DNS issue on my root, so my servers can't be listed on e+ spider.

i think its not a bug Happy (that's what i think)

you could try to make a force dns to another ip if you want ... and i think it will work
at least on windows it works

\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts (file)

master0.excessiveplus.net 127.0.0.1

3 times u are allowed to guess on what purpose sv_master 5 is forced to e+.net.

Yes it's true sv_master5 I suppose reserved for  master server excessiveplus also I think u cant put ip there because quake expecting dns address in this cvar (maybe I wrong). So ur problem is DNS. Easy way to handle with it as epsilon said: /etc/hosts (for linux aswell)

Haven't thought about it. was sleepy searching first why servers don't show up on e+. after having configured ftp.

By provider was making maintainance on DNS server it seems. now fixed Happy

Anyway, it could be meant to be reserved for e+ master server as you said. but it seemed weird to me to not be able to use master0's ip instead of the name.
