I can’t change the colors of the PM and XP bot models on the server. I used commands from Quake III Arena without modifications and commands from the Excessive Plus modification.
Of course, guys who have been playing for 10-20 years just use xp_enemyModel Keel/XP or TankJR/XP or PM, mostly the color xp_enemyColors 22222 and don’t see any problem. But in fact, I played for a year with the default models, and after talking with players who have been playing for a year or two, I understand that every third one also uses the default models.
And in fact, if it weren’t for the dull color of the models on popular servers, I wouldn’t have started using xp_enemyModel. For example, I like to quickly identify the most dangerous players in order to prioritize defense between them and bots.
So, I want to paint PM models on my server. I looked at every Excessive Plus page that mentioned the word "bot" or "bots" using a search engine using the command "site:excessiveplus.net bot". But I didn’t find anything on our forum, and no one is particularly interested in this on the Internet either. But in vain. This is important for young players.
So I have a folder zzzzz-MyConfigs.pk3dir -> Scripts -> bots.txt and for example:
{
name Anarki
model anarki/pm
cg_enemymodel anarki/pm
aifile bots/anarki_c.c
arenaLord 1
color1 1111
color2 1
}
For now I just have white PM models, which are already much better than red, blue, or even more so Default. I also managed to paint the colors of the Railgun beam and as I noticed these are commands not from the Excessive Plus modification. But if in regular Quake you can use color1 1111 using additional 3 numbers or letters, then in Excessive Plus this can no longer be done.Moreover, the standard xp_colors commands do not work either. I'm just tired of going through options and studying the Internet. It seems this question was not raised. Any oldies know how to do this?
