When you open the zip what files are in it?

there is 5 folders levelshots, maps, scripts, sound, textures and 6 files called levelshots, maps, q3hockey.txt, scripts, sound and textures.

Inside each folder is as follows:
levelshots: q3hockey.jpg
maps: q3hockey.aas, q3hockey.bsp
scripts: glassnfog.shader, linelite.shader, q3hockey.arena, whitebanner.shader

sound: hey.wav, wantcup.wav
textures: myshaders folder q3hockey folder, myshaders and q3hockey files.

ok then that is definilty a pk3 file. just rename it to pk3 (and make sure you are seeing the file extensions, otherwise you will have a mapname.pk3.zip which will not work) then copy it to baseq3. that is all.

and in case you are in q3 when you do that, restart q3.

ok so i renamed the q3hockey-final.zip to q3hockey-final.pk3 and placed it in the baseq3 folder and started the game. But it's still not showing up in the game.

Would it be possible if you could you launch quake3, create a server (i would need your IP addy) with the hockey level so i can download it this way?

Yeah.

Do the same, but type /map q3hockey

Worked for me just seconds ago.

Shows up in my selection screen no problem, in all gametypes. Scroll around, should be there somewhere. If not... maybe your Q3 runs some older point release? Do you have 1.32?
