ex-Cheaters in Clan Ranking - New Rule Proposition
Ok this is a voting for a new rule to be added to clan ranking rules.
One public vote per clan, posted by the leader or someone the leader authorized.
Whether the leader will decide himself, or have a private vote with his clan first, is irrelevant.
Only clans that played their first war at least a year ago, and have at least 6 wars in this year, can vote.
Here is the list (white - not voted yet, red - voted no, green - voted yes, yellow - decided to not vote).
1. 2SWEET
2. AIM[+]
3. BBSQUAD
4. C4
5. DA
6. DEVA
7. DRT
8. DS
9. EVOL
10. HYPER
11. KO
12. LEMON
13. PHC
14. SWE
15. THC
16. WASP
It will take 9 votes to vote this law in, otherwise the old "no second chance" law remains.
Currently:
[code:1]
[yes: 2] + +
[no: 5] + + + + +
[indifferent: 0]
[not voted: 9] + + + + + + + + +
[/code:1]
Voting expires on 01.05.2007 [12:00 CET]
Previos and still current discussion, maybe read and take part on it before vote.

4. If an ex-cheater wants to be in a clan, he must first state for what he was caught, that he wants to change, his old nick, and then use a new nick from now on. New start, unspoilled name.
agree.
5. The clan that takes him in will be fully responsible for what he does.
agree.
6. For each map the ex-cheater plays in, pure and pb MUST be on, regardless of the desires of the clans who fight. Demo must be recorded of the ex-cheater.
agree with the first part, disagree with the demo part. this suggestion is made by a hardliner and results in too much work.
7. For the purpose of being caught the first time, everything is counted: cvar kick, md5tool mismatch, or active hack, or a demo that leaves no doubts. Regardless who was using the computer under his nick (brother, sister, granma, dog...)
agree particulary, md5mismatch chatbubble, (just for example)
8. For the purpose of being caught the second time, everyhing is counted: cvar kick, md5tool mismatch, active hack, OR a demo that leaves no doubts. Regardless who was using the computer under his nick (brother, sister, granma, dog...)
c 7
9. If the ex-cheater is caught a second time several things happen.
9a. His ex-clan is punished by -5 points.
Sound good, maybe more?
9b. His ex-clan has all wars it won, while the ex-cheater played, removed from ranking.
Makes the clans responsible and thinking before take someone, agree for ranked wars
9d. If he was caught by his own clan (on training, or public), the -5 points is not aplied.
As long he get kicked out of clan (as rule) i agree
9e. If it is discovered that his clan tried to cover up a bust, the clan is forever banned from ranking. NO second chance for that clan.
C my answer of 9b
10. The clan that takes him in is expected to make sure that the ex-cheater plays on a cleaned q3, noone else is using his computer, and so on. No excuses are accepted.
agree except "noon else using ....." this cant be done in some families. Many reasons for that.
no, why, it is my vote, i will update it if necassary to a "fully agree".
Ur posts doesnt show the positives and negatives, so i had to write it, since i am a bit more neutral than you.
you can take my vote as "yes".
may i ask who was caught cheating?
an say someone caught cheatin leaves E+ for month or 2 an comes back with diffrent nick how you going to know who he was?
indeed foksie I see you caught your mouse chearting and glued mouse treats still in wrappers to its nose as punishment , that’s cold man !
As regards the proposition, nice initiative mate, but i cant get my head round a second chance yet. but all things are possible i suppose for now it would be no.
PHC is a No
1. There is no third chance.
2. There is no third chance.
3. See the above two.
4. If an ex-cheater wants to be in a clan, he must first state for what he was caught, that he wants to change, his old nick, and then use a new nick from now on. New start, unspoilled name.
4a. There must be at least a 6 months time, before the ex-cheater can join clans.
5. The clan that takes him in will be fully responsible for what he does.
6. For each map the ex-cheater plays in, pure and pb MUST be on, regardless of the desires of the clans who fight. Demo must be recorded of the ex-cheater.
7. For the purpose of being caught the first time, everything is counted: cvar kick, md5tool mismatch, or active hack, or a demo that leaves no doubts. Regardless who was using the computer under his nick (brother, sister, granma, dog...) *
8. For the purpose of being caught the second time, everyhing is counted: cvar kick, md5tool mismatch, active hack, OR a demo that leaves no doubts. Regardless who was using the computer under his nick (brother, sister, granma, dog...) *
9. If the ex-cheater is caught a second time several things happen.
9a. His ex-clan is punished by -5 points.
9b. His ex-clan has all wars it won, while the ex-cheater played, removed from ranking.
9c. Check rules 1, 2, and 3.
9d. If he was caught by his own clan (on training, or public), the -5 points is not aplied, if the cheater is automatically kicked from clan.
9e. If it is discovered that his clan tried to cover up a bust, the clan is forever banned from ranking. NO second chance for that clan.
9f. If the clan doesnt remove the cheater from their clan within a week that is considered same as rule 9e.
10. The clan that takes him in is expected to make sure that the ex-cheater plays on a cleaned q3, noone else is using his computer, and so on. No excuses are accepted.
11. Check rule 3.
* as a good rule of thumb: most vq3 cvars kicks wont be taken as wasting a chance, as some only slightly cheat like files wont be either (like lowexplosions).
