i got ur point. and it would be valid if there are a lot of ex-cheaters in those other clans. but u have to realize that in that one sentence, ur basically calling everybody else in every other clan thats not on that list a possible cheater. sorry that just isnt very polite, nor is it well thought out. if u have proof that certain clan leaders or players are cheaters, y dont u provide it? y make a generalized statement just to offend people? that would be akin to me saying most polish quake players are assholes, just cos i know one polish quake player is an asshole.
neways sorry for going off topic, but certain things just piss me off. like knowledgeable people being patronizing just cos they can.

its a totally different scenario. These clans are already involved. A 17 year old isnt allowed to vote and is not involved in voting in the first place.

this seems to be getting over complicated. It seems the clans in the vote are the clans that agreed with the law initially. No clan should feel in anyway lesser or that they are not part of some secret alliance, its just an initiative to see what people feel and so far there seems limited inertest anyway...
maybe reno you could make a vote for clans not in the list...hmm or maybe that could make things messy

young people are also involved in the society. and they are not allowed to vote. mind you there are a lot of young people who are even active in politics, more than some older people ever be. yet they still dont get to vote, until they reach 18 years old.

here are just some cause i curently dont have time to post it all (writting a big seminar for college, wich i must defend tomorow).
some pros for young clans to vote, cons as well.
pros:
- -many very active young clans that show promise to be here for a while.
-more people included > higher chance to have the avarage public opinion
-fresh toughts > "younger" players often have a good idea as to where to head, something that "older" players often miss due to being arround too much, and getting used to "de facto" status.
cons:
- -"young" players havent been arround as much, so they might now be aware some of their ideas failed before in the past
-over 90% of clans falls apart before their 1 year of existance according to the "new clan guide", in e+ the number is close to that according to my observations >
-new clans are potentionally clans that might not live long enough to reap the joys of a new system >
-if you realise the new system might not affect you in the long run, you could look for short run advantages > that hurts clans that will stay here.
-young clan leaders are not as attached to their clans yet. < possible vote buying (ye i know it sounds a bit ridiculous, but i even considered that)
p.s. i also considered having the limit to 6 months, wich would include many more clans, and was close to using that limit, but i changed my mind due to one of the points above (over 90% of clans falls apart before their 1 year of existance)
p.p.s. there was much more tought put into this, i might post a bigger explanation later.
p.p.p.s also note this system was planned to be used in future votes. its not a "ex-cheaters in clans" only system, and wasnt made to be a one shot system.

k just to make sure my comments are not taken out of context. it was fairly obvious y foksie decided on such a vote. i still dont agree with it, i still think its fairly stupid, but fair enough if u wish to do it that way. i just dont like it when people come making ridiculous comments vaguely hinting without any reason what so ever that just cos clans are younger means they mite have possible cheaters in them. in any case as i pointed above, whatever rule u guys decide on, its not gonna affect my clan in any way what so ever. our policy is still - if u cheat ull never ever play for class. period.
to be brutally honest, all this discussion just means that the onus is on clans themselves to make sure their members are not cheating. to have people explain to new members how to make sure their q3 copies are clean. it isnt that difficult to do and if people are too stupid/lazy to do it then let them pay for it.
ps: just as a counter-argument to the 17 year old not being allowed to vote in real life, age just isnt everything. i knew a lot of 17 year olds who were a lot smarter, and had much much more exposure than a lot of 70 year olds. wisdom != age.

ahh so i see now im ofended ppl, mine ego is aint that big, im said what im said and im done that couse im do think its one of the points that will help set beter lore. we are dyscusing about giving privilages of voting or not couse some ppl feld ofended...... jesus start think about making moust fair judgment in that important case for whole comunity and ffs forget for awhile about your own "honor", and dont act like gentelmans who was kilking eachother couse someone said stm bad about him...
im aint ko leader no more, and personaly have no rights for vote due to mine inactive status in clan, yeap in our clan inactive players have no voting rights!
would not includet clans will fell beter after puting them on the list? sure they will do... but just think it will realy help set beter lore? u know mine opinion, NO. im dont realy give a damn about giving privilages to ppl to make them happier, its not a fricking point of making such a vote poll god damn it :!:
stright factors for me are that posibilites of chaving a cheater or ex-cheater in new founded clan are much much biger than in clan with some history, where all players are known and trusted

i know a lot of younger clans i would manually add to the list cause i fully trust them, but in cases like this, its either a all inclusive or all disclusive situation. i opted for the second after a long consideration and weighing in all the pros and cons.
also, as a sidenot, an open poll is all but representative of the "public" opinion.
