I don't understand it, but yes. This is the internet, a forum at that. I am not voice chatting with you and therefore have no idea how I am supposed to read what was written. Therefore, I must accept that it is a joke and move on.

Perfect example by the way.. Even though I don't understand the joke enough to laugh.. sorry

Another post by RedKnight that makes no freakin sense!

I know this thread is old and has gotten off of the subject but I would like to weigh in on these issues. I just learned about this hitbox skin last night. The thought that some of the good players I know are using this is appalling to me. I know no one has the authority to call something here a cheat but it is underhanded in my opinion. Its true not everything in excessive is possible in the real world but I've defniately never seen giant floating boxes in an armed conflict. I'm also not very keen on the xp color option. Just because you have difficulty making out your target doesn't mean you should color it neon.

I'm just expressing my personal opinions here and I hope they will be respected by others with differing opinions. Some of the aggresion in this thread is disturbing. LOL.

Nah ... dont be scared by RedKnights posts. He is just like that ... With time ... you will get use to his whining and you'll probably just scroll his posts down as they are usually pointless and provocative. Well ... Winking

Just so people are clear, changing models (using cg_forcemodel or xp_enemymodel) does not in anyway change the "hitbox", i.e., it does not make the actual target any bigger or smaller. It just changes the way the opponent looks.

There is an excellent discussion of this topic here.

....but if the model was for example 3 times as bit as tank....you would see it earlier round corners. and be ready to shoot...?

sure the hitbox is the same...but if someone uses wallhack the hitbox stays the same right?

I realize that the skin in question doesn't icrease ones vulnerability, but it makes for a larger target. One rule in "real" combat is you can't control the appearance of your opponent. That is why soldiers use camo and not neon colors and huge boxes. I know some players are against force models but at least your are still playing a model that reacts similar to the other models. I haven't played with the box but I'm sure it doesn't make any deceptive jumps and flips.
