HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP pls
well, it could have been the coolant settings in the bios, sometimes they set the max degree for shutting down the comp to low, maybe try to raise it a little and it might be okey,. I dont know but maybe
also try resetting bios by taking out the bios battery for a while then put it back. probably there is a pin connector which this can be done with too, check ur motherboard manual for it.. i also had a restarting problem, in my case it must have been some kind of conflict in bios since it was solved by resetting bios..
I guess its worth a shot, otherwise good luck with the warranty
i had same problem few days ago, but when i changed my PSU to new one all got back to norm.
You have a Trojan/very virullent virus
Its a virus... i already have one of this babys on my pc
Backup.
Delete partitions
Create 2 partitions
Install windows on c:\
Restore ur backup in D:\
If u ever have again that problem u will not loose ur good files couse virus only gets root drives in this case C:\
If the shit keeps doing replace Power Suply
Hope this solves ur problem
looks like power supply or graphic card to me , especially when you use applications like 3dsmax a lot...q3 is even more demanding...yes.
is ur problem fixed ? if not, i have had exactly the same problem with my homserver (desk) winxp, and it shuts down itself everytime sometimes it runs some days then it come again.
check our ur cables at hdd and put another on it or maybe its not really fixed, that was the thing which was the problem by me, i know simply idea but perhaps it is ur problem too
I had the same - I did remove everything out of the motherboard and plug it in again - and voile - it worked. Probably ram wasnt placed well.
first off thx all u guys for your replies
Unfortunately it wasnt the ram thing, i tried to start the pc using only 512, alternating the dimms. No succes, so they are either ok or both burned (small chances of that happening).
@Iz: I didnt overclock at all. And yes i had a S-ATA hdd from day 1. Unfortunately i dont have what u need to measure voltages for the psu...
But some good news...i was just reading the site of the place where i bought my pc, and i saw that they give 2 years warranty for "non professional users" whatever the fuck that means. I'll go try my luck tomorrow morning. Anyways i also saw that my gfx card has 3 years of warranty, so if same thing happned to me as it did to Ratz, im covered.
hope ill have this solved soon but tbh i doubt that happening in Belgium...after i paied for my pc i had to wait like a month to get it, instead of 2 weeks as they told me in the beginning
