big difference form switch time 0 to switch time 1.
switch time .9 seems pretty decent.
Not really sure the decimal does anything still a big diffence than 1, the only way to keep a fast switch and fix bug no rockets, -16 from start weapons. my start weapons= 331, much less spammy.

than it is no bug, than it is allowed, than it is thing of serveradmin to alow it or not and if admin alow it, nobody have to cry others a river....

u cant fix that by seting huge switch time, balance switch time mey help to get rid of that but u add a delay betwen waponswitching, then e+ lose his temper
"switch time" = how long u must wait do switch yors weapon in "ms"
"cycle time" = how long take weapon reload
using reswitching need quick switching betwen weapons to fool q3, if u set switch time to higer value u can block that timeframe to do reswitching, but u ben feel that weapons switch prety slow

U can also shot with fiew bulets by secondary weapon, MG, and if reload cycle of that weapon is lower than primary weapon, RG, u can also reswitch and shot faster at the same time. If secondary weapon reload cycle is higer than primary weapon u can do reswitch to shot faster, but u cant shot with secondary weapon and reswitch to reduce cycle of primary weapon, bycose q3 remembser last used weapon reload cycle time. Reswitching withnout shothing u can do on all weapons, bycose q3 know that secondary weapon was not used and is redy to fire, this become an atitude to primary weapon

in BRO cfg all weapons have lower reload cycle than RG
Through testing on my comp, the bug works with any positive switch time. I had to set it to 1000 before it slowed the bug down any.
Any negative switch time will fix the bug (Switch Time: -1; ).
The long wait between swapping weapons is because they wont swap untill they have reached the end of their cycle (eg: are reloaded).
To fix everythig, the bug will have to be fixed, and the weapons will have to be recoded to allow us to swap before they are fully cycled(reloaded).
Disclamer: this is what I have found through my testing, it may be wrong..

the solution is there and simply up to servers either get rid of rockets or set cycle of rockets to same as rail 1000, I tested this with switch time of 1, stalls the fast rocket/ rail switch.
that will atleat fix the rocket switch which is most popular and effective for firepower. Funny how it got a lot more popular after threads about it where started.
There was already a big and growing problem with people exploiting this bug, I don’t think the answer is to keep quiet is it, or have I missed your point nexus ?
I wasn't complaining about discussion, just sad how people learn a cheat from a thread about it.
Could it be that a particular setting it letting the bug happen and if it was changed just a tiny bit if may stop it and if it was such a small change it may be almost unrecognisable ?
