The config has lived for a while now, and it has become an extremly competitive and balanced cfg. Even though it started as a 1vs1 config, it is now a fully capable TDM, TAG and CTF config.

features:

- all weapons have their use! every single one of them!
- extremly fast weapon movement!
- good interweapon balance.
- map control is important!

Here is the version log:

  • v6.5.2008-10-12 Numerous item respawn tweaks, and a few new maps supported

  • v6.4.2008-07-24 Decreased: Quad respawn is now 90 sec. Suit is only 25% in 1vs1. Maximum armor is 200. 1vs1 armor pickup values have been decreased 20%.
    Increased: Suit and Regen respawn is now 180 sec.
    Remowed: Shotgun.
    Added support for cpm14 (m0ve_map 200)

  • v6.3.2008-05-15 Another internal test, been running on those servers for a few months now. Retweak of the armor system and shotgun remowed.

  • v6.2.2008-04-20 Internal test, it was only placed on Trances m0ve servers, Dissos 1vs1 and Digits Digital Dreams servers. It featured new armor system (details in v6.4.).

  • v6.1.2008-03-24 Changes: instead of nummap, the name of the variable is now m0ve_map. Added many new variables, to tweak your pleasure Winking

  • v6.0.2008-03-23 Changes: Numerous. All weapons re-tweaked. Config cleaned up. CTF support.

  • v5.7.2008-01-19 Changes: PG returned to old bullet speed and shooting speed, but ammo mmount was kept. Also reload time increased.
    First official custom map configs for maps (names are links to download):
    mrh_dm2
    plduel4
    mvdm14

  • v5.6.26-12-07 Changes: LG damage -10%, MG damage +10%, PG thoroughly changed. It is now a slightly weaker but faster shooting rocket.
    Minor tweaks all arround.

  • v5.4.08-09-07 Fixes: Battle suit protection ammount bug, regen factor, q3dm8 1v1 plasma gun bug.
    New config for q3dm17 TDM (and tag/CA if youre that desperate Tongue)

  • v5.3.03-09-07 Increased: lg damage +10%
    Reballanced: Quad Regen and Suit.
    Full support for FFA now!
    Support for TAG, TDM and CA on dm11, dm14, pro-dm6, dm7, dm8!

  • v5.2.30-08-07 Reduced: lg damage, mg damage, pg damage, quad factor in TDM.
    Increased: Regen factor, Suit factor.

  • v5.1.28-08-07 added lightning gun replacement into green armor, and bfg into mega, for team gameplays.

  • v5.0.28-08-07 A whole load of changes!
    changed: all powerups now have either 15 second (shards and vials) 30 second (everything but nasties) or 120 second spawn time (quad, suit, regen).
    all maps use same config. thanks to TheDeath for figuring that one out.
    bfg: changed to SodMod style to reduce splash damage bug kills.
    changed: some map tweaks.

  • VERSION 4 HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED. FURTHER VERSIONS ARE BASED ON VERSION 3.

  • v4.1.25-08-07 tweaks: ammo regeneration and weapon cycles.

  • v4.0.25-08-07 changed: switchtime. bfg reload and ammo regeneration.
    minor map tweaks.

    NOTE: q3tourney5 is the first map to feature a completely different style of game. no multijumps, a few weapons and extreme adrenaline. Happy also at q3dm17 you now respawn with just enough health to survive a rail shot, but not rocket or nade. of course a rail + one mg shot still kills you.

  • v3.1.20-08-07 increased: nade damage
    new map configs: dm7, pro-tourney4, pro-tourney2

  • v3.0.20-08-07 MAJOR REVISION!
    changed: armor settings.
    increased: rocket splash radius, rocket splash damage, nade splash damage, lg ammo, mg ammo, pg ammo, pg damage.
    decreased: rocket direct hit damage, nade direct hit damage, bfg direct hit damage
    fixed: pg jumps. multijumps = 1!!
    other various tweaks.

  • v2.5.17-08-07: increased: rocket splash, grenade splash, quad factor.
    removed: shootable missiles
    change: tourney1 has another YA instead of quad.

  • v2.4.30-07-07: decreased: quad factor (from 4 to 1.5!!) bfg damage (a lot), rocket damage (a little)
    rebalanced: item placement on tourney3
    new: q3dm3 config.
    REMOVED: camp protection!

  • v2.3.18-07-07: decreased: lg damage, mg damage.
    increased: lg ammo.
    per map settings are now available!

    increased: mega health ammount. all armors are worth more!
    tweaked: armor system.
    decreased: mg damage. lg damage. bfg splash!
    no special dm2 config atm.

    change: rocket launcher on map is now a green armor.

Downloaded. I'm not sure I'll like how the grenades are set up, but everything else sounds pretty damn good...

brilliant config. <3. Big grin the armor makes the game so much more enjoyable, and tactical too, so that people aren't camping all the time, with their crosshair glued to the spawns Smug

also: lg only damages on direct hits, no splash like in plus Happy

great work .
didnt played that much on it(around 5min) so ill add what ive saw in this 5min

(+)the ammo of every weapon its nice and it helps very much reducing the spam .
(-) if u can move easily(plasma better, lg, bfg, rockets.. ) why the hack(if i counted right) 4 multijumps ? are kind of annoying (cant do a rocket kill)
(-) plasma has a too big damage. i know till now not many used plasma on e+, and its good to make bigger damage but imo too much
(+) like mg and grenades

ill add more when ill play again on it . anyawy again gj and imo better than plus Tongue

yep, ive been told so, and it will change in next version. thing is im terrible with plasma so i never noticed it Smug

i tried a similar thing in my config experimenting with the bfg, don't know if you'll find it... do a search for minus config (damn wii doesn't let me copy links)

still me .. ive played with 2 keels (bots) on dm17 with this config and ive shoot a guy twice with rail(heard the sound)(closely time between the 2 shots) and then at the 3rd one died . on teh description it says its insta kill and only if he gets 51 armors he can still live but i bet that bot didnt last alive for MAXIM 10 sec and couldnt get on dm17 51 armors :\ . I know it has a bonus of 20 health total 120 at begining but still 3 rails ..

only played a bit. didnt like the plasma at all. especially the knockback. didnt like the nades either, but thats just a personal thing. i rather like bouncy nades, and if ur gonna have that kinda long reload time, bouncy nades ftw imo.

apart from that i really like it. wanna see some good serious games played with it to see just how strategic games would actually get. (maybe organize a mini 1v1 cup for the duration of an evening?).

doing the same but just wanted to say maybe its bugged or dunno cause it isnt insta its like mhm on e5r if im not wrong . sometimes the rail its insta sometimes bad luck happens Happy

agree with wonko : a 1v1 cup on this . i think many will show interest in joining it Happy
