Was wondering if anyone would have any interest in the this new cfg idea Happy , This is basically for the e5 side of q3. Its just an idea but if putting Bq3 and e5 togeather. What i mean is... You start off with one weapon like bq3 (The machinegun) and have to collect the other weapons like e5. But the other weapon are the same power as e5. Ofc reduce the mg dmage a bit as it is default weapon. Just an idea, If anyone thinks there any point in it please say Big grin

One weapon is enough.

buuuuuut for example : u play 1v1.
You got lg and killed your enemy. And with 150 ammo in lg. You will just spawn frag him always...

welcome to cpma/osp/QL 1v1.

Idea is great, but it is basically what you can do in a different mod, with much better gameplay more people and better netcode (like cpma/osp/QL)

it wouldn't work, if people play e5 is because they don't even have to think about picking weapons, tho, give it a try.

First of all, there's weapon balance (weapons ranging from useless to immensely overpowered). You'd have to, either, gimp the mg or change the default starting weapon to something else (gl?), implement extreme anticamp protection (so the games won't devolve into boring camp sessions around the most powerful weapon on the map), cut ammo, remove regen (unless you want spam up your ass OH WAIT IT'S E5), and pray.

You start with mg on e5 based settings, meaning i only have to spawn once, and i'm set for the game, who cares about grenade launcher/bfg for movement, i already have the most powerfull weapon in e5. And i've shown countless times already, by just walking around and mg'ing you can win the game.

So i wouldn't suggest mg for starter, but maybe shotgun. Grenade launcher would give you fast movement from the start, interesting sure but as soon as you have fast movement, you have all weapons.

And you do realise of course, it'll remove all the speed in the game e5 has.
And rail has to e5r, or else there's no reason to pick it up any more.
