Hello E+ and All QuakerZ

I need help whit a thing, I am planing to buy one new Tv to the living room and i have lill difficultys to pick wich one i should go for Happy here is where u boys & Girls come in.

I have currently a Sony 48inch FuLL HD LCD TV at living room,no complains wich goes into the bed room as soon as i have baught new tv to living room ofc. But i have notice that its big diffrent at the prize tag iff u go to an plasma. Iknow in the past the LCD was something evryone prefered insdtead off plasme but theese days i am lill unsurten about this. This is why i made this lill polling topic.

Ah i almost forgott i was thinking to buy something about 60 inch or above size tv. Dunno whats the biggest LCD r theese days xD

Comment plz & iff u have some important info wich i should take in the considering before buy.

go for panasonic plasma, it has more detailed picture, and its a lot faster than any LCD

I am addicted to life.

Both lcd and plasma are good. It depends on how much money you want to spend. You will get a better deal on a plasma that is 600hz compared to a 60hz lcd. If money is no big issue then get a LED 120hz or 240hz but they are over priced right now.

Don't buy a new TV yet ! New HD definition is going to change this year : 1980*1080 -> 2560*1440.
And Quad HD in 1.5 year ;D

I've got a plasma from Panasonic for 2+ years now and I'm very satisfied. Great colours, very sharp and console gaming with it works flawlessly. The drawback is the higher energy consumption. It's not that worse as it was with older plasmas yet it's higher compared to most modern LCDs. On the other hand you have an additional heater in the living room! Smug

my opinion is: LED are better, and u can get 1 (for ex. a 42" LED TV) for 900 EUR. it isn't so expensive and really very good.
