As topic said. I'm really amazed why there isn't anything about excessiveplus in most populars websites about q3. I don't know any english sites, but there are sites like quake.net.pl , i think the most popular polish website about q3, there is 'mods' category and nothing about excessiveplus. There are many not-popular mods which are played maybe by 10 ppl per day and there is something about them but e+ = nothing. In wikipedia.org there are articles about defrag, cpma, almost everything, e+ ofcourse not. We talked with Kicek last time, and we think some1 should interesst about it, i think more than half of our community started playing here just immidietly, joining e+ server by q3 client, like me. When someone want to start playing q3, and is thinking which mod to choose, there is really nothing about e+ and its why ppl play osp/cpma.
E+ isn't small mod, so i really dunno, why noone of administrators or anyone do something to make it more popular.

pah who cares? Most of the mods u already mentioned were on the quake3 scene long before e+ so that explains why they are "all over the net". Now, since quake3 is a dead game, this place will never get that sort of hype.
In the end and once again....who cares? More peace to ourselves...

I understand you. i put the same questions before some longer time on czech progamers website. Only one result there was flame to me because there was only osp and cpma players. E+ isnt so amazing, perfect and played how you think. Forget to it

Sure, you can't nowhere find E+ links on any game servers.
When i check last time in Wikipedia, E+ was in it, obviously there is some kind games behind scene... We should do something and assimilate players from all mods. For that we need more active maker of mod easy+ and make some links in q3 communities...
But despite that we have huge growth in last year...

Easy answers to both questions. First of all, E+ is a niche mod, always was, and always will be (at least, on Q3). It's lack of popularity amongst the general Q3 community comes from the fact that most people percieve it as "silly". Unbalanced weapons, multijumps, stronger-then-needed weapon jumping, no self-damage, one hit one kill railgun, useless armor, no need to gather guns or ammo, and most see E5 configs like an insane, mindless spam fest. It all makes people who play more mainstream mods get repelled from E+ and tag it as not worth their, and anyone else's, time.
And what could administrators do or say to make people percieve E+ differently? Nothing. Most of the time, if someone mentions E+ on a quake related website, and starts mentioning it's good qualities, he gets flamed, i've seen it more then once.
But, like Trance said, who cares? Q3 is dying and no one outside this community will treat E+ serious on a larger scale, at least. That's how it is.

indeed what my mate matebringer says is right! Many people dislike e+ cause its insane gameplay.. i tried to bring 4 people in e+ but wihtout luck! poor graphics, fast gameplay and blalba only 2!Ness came to e+
