Of course some q3 related graphics on site top is mandatory - not much though, just colorful and genre explaining accent imo. Didnt point that out cause I still believe the site isn't finished (actually transparent background for main content on some other websites means that page hasn't been fully loaded yet )

as i had said, it's still a skeleton. however, the 'designer' whoever that was, has no intention to make any more changes

which is why the the 'designer' should have left the ability to switch back to the much more complete and organized layout if they had no time to finish the new design in the near future. and the changes that have asked for are actually very minimal, easy, and not very time-consuming considering the skeleton(which is what we have now.) is done, mostly. the website is what reaches out to new users and is used everyday by returning users. yeah, it's a big deal. we're a community looking for new members with an unfinished website, our main communication outside of games. it's like amazon or ebay trying to sell merchandise without a website.
