ehem madbringer - its other way round - models are scaled down to the hitbox.
They were in the beta.
edit: oh you mean in e+, when you decrease the hitbox size, the models are scaled down as well? If so then ok, didn't know that.
no, im saying that in quakelive models are scaled down to fit the hitbox - the default length should have been same since engine is based on it.
10%? that would make a factor of 0.8889
10% scaling up on your previous calculation (0.85) ends up at 0.935, i would say your first calculation was a pretty spot on in terms of comparison.
would be nice if e+ models would scale to hitbox, we know it can be done (remember april 1st easter egg )

I wouldn't worry about it too much, i suspect it's my very own subjective feeling. And even if it's not, it's close enough.
