In fact, I don't understand the idea to join E+ to QL.
I even don't understand the idea of QL as it is at this moment. What advantages can QL offer? As I can see, it can just offer community features, such as statistics, awards, communication. The only true bonus is system of ranking of the servers.
I depict all this as I remember what it was a year ago. Maybe has it changed, except adding payment? I don't know and even don't want to know, as I think that it has lost sense of its being.
Why should I pay the game that I can have for free? I mean the good old Q3A. When QL started as a browser game, it was interesting, but further it became more and more just a fork of Q3 (as it was in deed from the beginning).
Do you want to make E+ mod for QL? If so, the main problems is configs, as QL has all the other stuff (I mean textures, maps, sounds etc).
Another question is "why?", "what for?" Do you want to attract people to this new E+ mod (and to this old E+ mod, in general, too) ? I find it useless. You'd better develop this mod, as it is (I mean it's free for all of us).
are you blind? its almost 2016. nobody plays q3a. and the game without players is dead game. I remember e+ 10 years ago and trust me, there were a lot of servers and a lot of players. moving e+ to quake live is step to the future
Ppl would just buy ql than buying old q3a then download eplus and all stuff, ql via steam its just an easy way to play quake actually. I remember in ql when i joined that dm17 server with multijumps insta it was always full, i bet new players could get hooked by eplus crazines if we put it on ql.

there's many ppl sharing commands and are helpful, it definitly helped me a lot to build my own iCTF and iFT server

surely re-writing plusN would be a little bit of a pain because E+ exists as it is now for Plus and excessive configs.(PlusN & e5 clones)
I dont know the configuration engine of QL but I'm sure there's a lot of numbers like it's in original quake 3 engine, with weapons, items and powerups being the power of two numeric values.
and actually to think back, if I'm right, configuring weapons and items werent even possible without the help of a mod, which interprets these values into entities.
thus making a port quite a pain in the ass.
aside from that we'd still need physics. I dont know if air control(movement control while being in air) or double jumps are possible. so move from e+ to ql wont be soon, unless some creative individual comes up with a solution.

QL is in the middle between q3 and e+ at configuration possibilities. In q3 u need for nearly everything a mod and in ql u can set already alot with configs (like e+). Air control physics is already possible. Double jump is possible, but not more. For plus we would need 4 jumps. Weapons, powerups and gibs are configurable too, but just the bfg style with grenades is missing.
At all, we would just need a small mod, because there is already much possible in QL. The half E+ is already in QL if u want to say it this way...
