For me the best thing of windows 7 is the posibility to run windows xp thanks to Virtual XP Mode that windows 7 is offering.

As technician, part of my job is to do on time backups for each PC that arrives my shop. The only software that really feed my needs is Norton Ghost in its version 9 because of its simplicity to work with doing backups and restoring drives, cloning drives, upgrading drives.

So for me right now the best feature for windows 7 will be Windows XP Mode.

i must add before closing my post, that i love the visuals and graphics that win7 works with. But i will let others pick them with a better explanation.

im think about going to win7 but i dunno Surprise
the win advisor thing keeps tellin me my vga adapter wont support the aero driver

Nvidia cards and ati cards (latest) are fully suported by win7. dont worry about it. Go for it:)

Microsoft gave up on Vista, it being the broken piece of shit it is. Win 7 is, apparently, Vista as it was supposed to be. Fast, pretty, and actually working. There is no real reason to upgrade to Win 7 for now, though.

Well, what i like on Win7?

- For me it is really faster than my Vista Ultimate before, I just had to buy a new card-reader Big grin
- the new taskbar, way more flexible
- the new preview of running progs in the taskbar
- the better driver-support due automatic update
- the function to pin running progs to the taskbar
- i like the aero-snap and aero-shake and aero peak function
- jumplists Wave
- the extremely high woman's acceptibilty factor
- gadgets without sidebar
- progress-status visible in taskbar

how about things I don't like Happy

1) Windows classic theme is not the real one (taskbar stays shitty)

Big grin

Actually things i do like.

1) It's much faster and slicker than Vista
2) 95% of my hardware was automatically recognised with drivers
3) Defrag has the percentage displayed unlike Vista
4) It's much easier troubleshoot problems
