If everyone would use the new executable to play Quake 3, sure, but it's unrealistic.
It's like everyone would modify their C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts file and append the following lines, to be able to use the ingame browser again.

Yeah kinda thinking that myself
Most of the players on E+ dont really need the master server tbh they use other games clients
My main worry is that you will not get any new players coming thru when using it
Just look at the servers since it has gone down , apart from beer , they are all very quiet
This is why 1.30 is dead

Hey hey,
I got a little help for those who used to connect to servers from the Quake3 Multiplayer Menu, like me.
I use a copy of a modified windows installation: XP SP3, 160Mb bootable copy for me - no programs, only the drivers and teamspeak installed on it, to maxilmalize CPU load etc for the Holy Quake Engine 
(btw this way I can earn +100 - 120 frame per seconds at timedemos with my old PC (AMD K7 CPU platform with DDR1 RAMs and GeForce 6600GT)) and no shitloads, red lines in lagometer etc probs...
So my advice for the solution,
put the server IPs to your cfg -> seta server1 "xx.xxx.xx.xxx", seta server2 "xx.xxx.xx.xxx" and so on (these commands are already exist in the q3 cfg file). This means You create the Favourites list in the Multiplayer Menu. 
Hehe I hope it can help for some players, otherwise please don't think I wanted to be a brilliant

Thank you Zero6823. My server is showing in the master ingame browser via your binary. Very simple solution if new players will use this
exe instead of original.

But as easy says there no point unless everyone does it
To me the whole point of the master server is to show newer players severs that is running
players on here know of other options to show and play servers , so wont need the master server list
EG : Ditto your server doesnt show on my master server list , as i haven't made any changes
just like a new player would be
