[Added] ambient sound
i think i become boring with this but i would like to see the opinions of others about the idea of implementing s_ambient 1/0 command on e+. i think that map ambient sound can be a big distraction for focusing on a game
I support this idea, really. On some maps it's completely overdone, e.g. the organ on q3w5.
i say F1 for this!
some noises are pretty annoying
for example the ermap3 noises at the tele, or the wind outside on the RA or the annoying song in the cpm2 near the tele ..

only thing annoying me is the beep beep sound on dm5
Try turning down your bass. you still here players sounds but ambient sounds are fairly bass-ey so it reduces them a lot.

and you also hear the bfg of the enemy less.
I love the song in the cpm2 near the tele
for me it's not a bid deal this ambient.
I wish to find a solution how to disable mine weapons sounds, like from lg and rail when you hold it but to hear others weapons It's impossible I think. That would work like a wallhack for me :]

you cant disable sound but you can download some weapons skins on quakeunity.com with new sounds that makes less noise than regular q3 weapon skins
not fair. besides, pure won't allow it.
i wonder, if it's possible to tweak sound card's equalizer to hear some q3 sounds louder, like boosting bfg's frequencies higher but still, the question about fairness of performing such tweaks is opened, imo
