I'm posting this thread here because i've had enough of that there is always someone in a game that whineing and complaining about my gamestile. That i use chrouch, walk, and sometimse stand for 2-4 secounds. They arew always coming with that i'm a camper etc etc. And even happened that i guy from ger who was ab(maybe from drt, not sure (i only think cuzz he was good) so there was someone just renamed himself to Gizdalordcamperwhore. Anoying.
There is anticamp on every server. And my style of playing NEVER gets it turn on against me. I simply not camping cuzz i never get damaged by that.

I do not ask any kind of decision of the community i only ask for a DEFINITION OF CAMPING
Imho camping is not that if u stay for a few secs. Check out Counterstrike and games like that. And You will see camping.
"Sneaky bastard" style play is exactly the opposite of the rocket rocket bfg style when the player never lands and flying an orbit around the map.
No prob with that. But no prob with trixy little ninja style, rail bur listening and calculating the possible rout of the enemy and get there before him with 2 sec and aim to the exact location of his/her most probably way(the corner or door where he/she turns around and get in to yer sight)

Many players share your style, and there is nothing wrong with it. To me, a camper is someone that crouches in a corner, or on a ledge or other less obvious spots and aimed at a door, opening, spawn point or in freeze, a frozen body. Based on your words, you obviously arent doing that.

Crouching while walking, walking itself, standing for 2 or 4 seconds and listening before acting is not camping. If anything, its being smart and cautious. If you have never, or rarely make the camping alert activate, then you have no worries. Just play and have fun, ignore the whinners.

i dont care about this, on freeze do what u want cuz for short while if someone camping will be killed by enemy. One thing i dont like - it is camping on 1vs1 Evil

you can play camperly - that means if selfdamage start to takeing ur health u can move few moves and go back when you were before.

Imo so what if somebody is a camper? This is a free world and ppl can do whatever thay want as long as it doesn't interfiere with the rules. Besides if a camper plays with a better player he will lose anyway Tongue

The only map I ever have anticamp problems on -- on servers with a wider anti-camp range -- is DM17. As many of you know I happen to like the platforms (FFA/TDM/1v1) and the red armor (1v1). Big grin

I think camping is staying in a small area or one spot, hiding, and waiting for someone to come along. Or lobbing random BFG blasts every so often from that hiding spot, ESPECIALLY if you hear movement... in 1v1 it's a little different because part of winning 1v1 is knowing the map/area. But just standing there waiting in one spot is lame, it's definitely camping, and so long as anti-camp is on you will pay a price for it.

I've 1v1 you Giz, and you do NOT camp. Sorry for the edit.
