I would like to ask anyone who got same cpu cooler as me that I bought some time ago
Its a CPU Cooler Hyper 101i PWM with 4 or 3 pins I readed that 4 pins are for auto PWM control
but my fan speed is same around 860-920 RPM, it doesnt change when cpu gain is even at 100% and temperatures raises up to 85C
On the beggining the FAN control was working fine, when cpu gain was higher rotations raised aswel
Something happened past those months and I am not sure what exactly.

got Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E4500 @ 2.20GHz

I am using SpeedFan 4.43 to monitor the system activity, maybe someone knows better progz to do the same but with full control of the Fan Rotation speed, I want to set it for full speed or atleast 80%, this program doesnt do anything even when option for 'Automatic fan speed' is enabled, I disabled the Q-Fan speed at BIOS and nothing, so I enabled it again and the option with performance appeared below so I set that to Performance level, means it should work at full speed all the time especially when cpu is at 100% of use.

Re: CPU FAN Cooling problem

PWM is just one more wire for controlling rpm. But rpm controls mobo not fan so the easiest way how to set pwm sensitivity is in entering bios and set q-fan to performance mode Big grin

I have very bad experience with similar software like speedfan. It simply doesnt work or makes system unstable. Iam using software from Asus for controlling fans but its propably only for Sabertooth mobos

Re: CPU FAN Cooling problem

The cooler seems to work fine, Its a 4 pin connector with PWM control but the motheboard seems does not control it at all, when cpu gain rises it do not raise the fan rotation speed, so I unplugged the connector from 4 pin input to one from two other fan inputs for only 3 pins inputs and the cpu fan worked at full speed I think because was much louder in work, but the only positive things from that was faster cooling when the cpu gain was minimal and while running q3 temperatures raised up to 75C but not on 100% cpu use not much difference while with lower RPM's

In BIOS Q-Fan is set to 'Performance mode' means it will raise up RPM's when CPU gain is higher, but it do not do that at all, what can be the cause of that?
I also set some options in the SpeedFan 4.46 to raise up RPM when temeprature is more than ex. 60C but it also doesnt work at all Confused

my motherboard (mobo Big grin) is:

whats the name of this black box with cables?
well if I understand it correctly input cable from cpu fan goes into the input cable from this box and the black box output cable goes into the motherboard right?

and this black box should be put outside of the PC case to let use it anytime?
