In my ever so humble and insignificant opinion, the cleaning up of already present spam is not quite as important a task nor is it as productive as enforcing strict anti-bot registration rules.

There are too many options to chose from : email check, different registration process,...

And no I don't think we need a new mod. Wait let me rephrase that, I just can't think of a single person I would consider fit as a mod.

it is true spam bots got more and more aggressive but we are doing our best to clean up the forums. Ofc this is not the ideal solution but until easy shows up again, our hands are tied, can you comprehend that?

they spam in most accessed forums, there was also already spam in some clan forums.
maybe create an of ftopic forum and move the important threads to there and have the off topic forum just for new registered users so spam bots can spam their ass off?^^

I take time every day to clean this crap. But it seems the more I try the more that comes in. It looks like more of a bot issue then anything. Deex was looking into updating the back end, but maybe a move to a newer version of the board will help.

i had a lot of spambot on my clan forum as well but when i upgraded the forum it solved simultaneously the problem.
And yeah, changing off topic name would help to reduce the spam amount. Mabe change it to something like "unrelated to excessiveplus" or "offgame exchanges"
