FPS loss like problem

I don't know what to call it, it seems like my fps is going from 125 to 0 for a second and then right back up. It starts to get hard to shoot after a while since it "lags"..but its not the server because it does it in single player, and its not my videocard cuz i think the 8800GT is good enough to play quake Big grin

any ideas? Thinking

i have same prob.i changed my system on vista, and sometimes my fps is going down to 0... idk why Sad someone said "delete snaps" but it doesnt work Confused

if you have more than one core, you have to setup quake to run exclusivly on one core.

multi core procesors do that to q3.

One last question, this should be a quick one, i wasnt sure if i should open a new topic for it tho, tell me if i should in the future Big grin

whenever someone else on my network plays q3 online, i get Connection Interupted and the server that theyre on doesnt show up in the ingame browser and the IP doesnt work, any ideas?

your NAT is poorly setup. google for port forwarding and seting up routers.
