Grenade Or Rocket Jumps ?

BUT in that case it kicks the enemy in the corner if the railgun shoots with 200 damage or something. So with the current version at least, it's impossible to make a deeper gameplay and keep the basic e+ elements, imo.--edit--
Now with such a name i am totally 1337
Won't setting the knockback on rail to 0 fix that? Erm.. then again the rail damage on the cpma cfg I've been working on is 80.... so you're saying if the damage is 200+ it pins the enemy against the wall no matter what?
Yep, it has to do with damage. I've tried it a very long time ago. A couple of weeks ago hq tried it too so i guess that's the reason.
Well, i DID suggest separating enemy knockback from damage value and putting it in as a cvar. :}
It would solve alot of stuff, indeed.
Btw, Taratos dosen't mean anything in polish. I think my countrysmen just love to mis-spell other ppl's nicknames
Why do all posts of this nature (one weapon vs another, useage thereof, et cetera) inevitably degrade into a pissing contest over people not knowing how to use weapons properly, not move properly, not do this "right", not do that "right" according to the parameters of a more baseq3-like mod such as CPMA or OSP?
Don't get me wrong, I like these other mods too even if I don't play them as much as E+. But -- and I'll boldface this so everyone can see the point of my post clearly and realize what's being said here -- E+ is a mod of its own, it is not trying to be like any other mod. If you guys want things to be this way or that way, make your own damn cfg and play on it or play those "superior mods" and leave the E+ community alone with your whining about how easy people are to hit because of your uber 1337 movement skillz in E+.
PS to whoever said alot of the best players in E+ don't know how to move -- play against Bert, Larry, Flex1, Faith or Absti once (for example -- there are many other good players who I'm sure you don't even know the names of) and tell me how easy they are to hit.

I agree. Thx for writing what i wanted to write all the time, but never had energy to.
Ooh i noticed something intersting btw, haha but i keep it to myself i dont think you guys would understand.
ye good olde bfg jump <3
duno taratos its just sounds beter, u should consider the beter version as primary ']

Shame on you for calling CPMA baseq3-like... just for that you ain't getting any sex from me tonight
lol necro. pissing contest. if u call a debate on what direction the mod should take or what a better config would be a pissing contest then yea most of the stuff i do would have to be called pissing.
btw i wasnt and am not trying to make e+ more cpma or osp like. it just so happens that what i think is the right direction to take would take e+ closer to those mods. perhaps u should think y that should be so.
just to follow ur line of thought, i do wonder y ANY sort of debate is considered to be flaming. ridiculous idea.
also please note i didnt say e+ folks dont know how to move. i was simply saying e+ makes it ridiculously easy to move around without imposing any sort of learning curve. it takes about a day to see how bfg slides work and other than that theres nothing to e+ movement. sorry if this sounds critical of the way the mod works but thats just the way it is.
However, changing bfg settings seems to make movement more instant and uncontrollable. I might be wrong but it doesn't feel like on regular bro cfgs. hey. ive seen this said in other places as well. that if we set bfg damage to a lower value then somehow bfgslides are affected. atleast thats what is being said if im right. just tested this. all other settings the same as plus.cfg except i changed all the damage values to within 100. so u spawn with 100 health. the bfg settings are damage:80 and splashdamage:80. have no problems at all with bfg slides. works exactly the same as in plus.

no, it doesnt work the same.
and it's only the spashdamage (of the damages) which is affecting movement.
