Logitech firmware (increase mouse accuracy?)
Hello,
I recently reinstalled my OS and found a very strange sensitivity ingame whereas I just put in the game folder my configuration backup.
I searched into drivers and found something strange in Logitech firmware.
In fact, the problem was I didn't apply MarkC fix on my clean Windows 8.
BUT as you can see on this screenshot on my firmware :
My firmware has a function called "mouse acceleration" and says about that "it enhances your accuracy".
Does anyone use Logitech firmware or exprencied a change about this setting? I don't feel any change about using or not this setting and there is moreover no value to change about it.
Hello ,
I have a Logitech G9, and i got a similar problem with the software from Logitech. The problem cames when i installed the Point Release software for the G9, and while playing a game you will feel that the mouse movements aren't smooth.
So i decided to play without the Logitech software, and i can tell you that it works for me.It seems that the Logitech software makes some changes for your mouse.
(I am using Windows 7 & Windows 8 [Two different laptops])
I hope this was useful for you.

its same as quake's cl_mouseaccel, only quake uses direct input(directx)
not really sure about increasing accuracy but it accelerates mouse movementfor example, if you drag your mouse in one direction for a while, it makes mouse movement faster
starting from your sensitivity speed, to i dont really know how much speed, and mouse accel number(cl_mouseaccel) is how much time it takes to accelerate mouse movement i think

logitech software has things like gamin mode i believe, and there's some tick boxes, for example keep mouse acceleration or keep sensitivity
I dont know about rest of software, but in simplest "logitech setpoint" you can adjust all that
there is no point release neighter do setpoint , for g400 , make sure u installed the right driver .
