lol do u really see much difference on this overclock ? hmm...

u can try:
setting back to stock frequency, see if cpu is causing problem?
taking gpu out, taking it apart, cleaning it - it sounds old so u probly had it wayyy long...and if u never cleaned it the fans may be restricted causing overheat...

or more software based, turn off this antivirus shit, this wont fix ur problem lol but u should never have it running whilst gaming (things like this are always looking for updates online)

i dont really know im just bored hrrhr seriously, clean ur pc Big grin

How much free space do u have on the partition where u installed quake?
U should have more then 20% on an NTFS partition..
Try diskeeper pro,it has possibility to optimize page file and MFT (boot-time defragmentation). For most effective general defragmentation, use norton speed disk.

Norton products mostly suck, thats true, especially the antivirus, but their speed disk is best for general defragmentation.U can choose to install only speed disk on norton systemworks install and by doing this u wont choke your system.
