The double click is apparently a common problem with Logitech I have already repaired 3 mice of them and it’s very easy but you need to take your time to do so. You only need to open the mice and the open the switch with the double click on it ( do this very very carefully so you don’t break the button case ) then clean the inside of dust witch cause the double click problem. It’s very easy to do if you are carefully so no need to send it back or buy a new one unless you want to replace it under warranty.so you say dust is the problem? interesting.
So far as I can tell it's dust that makes the double click problem the 3 mice I fix are still working fine and the only thin I did was cleaning the inside of the micro switch. There might be another reason for the problem but I have not jet stumbled on this problem check this link to see the other reason or if you want to open jour mice to clean the inside of the switch. Cleaning the switch is the first thing you should try if you have the double click problem when al solder points are good.

my motto is dont change a running system and im running fine with the standard mousefeets so im against buying new. so probably i have to get new ie 3.0 instead of cleaning it.
im trying too to get a ie 3.0 or IMO but can't find for cheap, only found on ebay other countries (hong kong) for min 20 euro + spedition...possible that can't be found around for not more than 5-10 euro? same for steelseries sx, hard to find and pricefull as hell ( 30-40 euro )
