sure, why not.
if u cant run qname, u can try trash's tag maker.

Of course, and qname works well under wine. Just be sure you save the tags in the right encoding. (iso 8859-1)
I was wondering also with tags, cause I have problems with many of my old tags. The show up like this: [code:1]80^0^7[/code:1] And many of these don't work.
I have linux and I know this problem, if you have watched stuff on youtube, or anything flash on mozilla, turn mozilla off, then on, it should come up with a message mozilla not responding, then open again and don't go on any flash site, open q3 and it will work.
Same if you use video watcher, open again and close and it should work fine.
"OSS applications don't share the sound card
By default the OSS compatibility devices respect POSIX rules and allow only exclusive opens unless the O_NONBLOCK option is given to open(2). This can be worked around either by using the aoss program, oss2jack, the non-block configuration directive, or the nonblock_open options of the snd-pcm-oss modules." http://www.sabi.co.uk/Notes/linuxSoundALSA.html
But i guess ubuntu uses ALSA.. anyway...
It means only one program can use at one time soud card. Else, you need to do some things manualy.. http://www.faqs.org/docs/Linux-HOWTO/Sound-HOWTO.html#AEN383
Another thing then installing maybe something went wrong (wrong bit wrong connection, bad electricity.. ) try reinstalling maybe, still easiest way..
no, s_volume is fine i think i found a solution here.
