Nudge,Ping and Lag Discussion
higher com_maxfps then 125 combine with other cvars may cause you harder to hit, so its not a cheat but can give you unfair advantage
Yep but what iritates me the most is unnecessary abusing of the negative timenudge. Some use -10,but some really go to far with -15,-20 and -25.I pleed server owners to limit the cvar to 0.
nah ratz -10 and not more
Agree with Ratz...
i think it should be limited to -10.
Can u both explain to me what are the actual gains with -10 timenudge on a NON-laggy server? Altho I can live with -10 I still dont see no point in it,if u dont have any network probs or the server doesnt have any lags.
Honestly I've played with the cl_timenudge setting, and it didn't give results as good as tweaking /snaps and /cl_maxpackets. And to be honest I see players frequently who have "bad connection" and use negative timenudge values, and they are very difficult to hit -- they twitch across the screen and then shoot me from halfway across the map before I know where they are again. Unfair advantage...? Or just trying to make the game playable for them?
Players connecting to a server only 800 km from their home, with a ping under 100, using /cl_timenudge -10? I say that's lame.
Oh, yeah, and I've seen some players use negative values as low as "-200". LOL. Rat Salad knows what I'm talking about, it's actually kinda funny considering values below -20 do nothing anyway!

So 80% OSP ppl are lamers and somebody from e+. If u dont know what is exactly cl_timenudge what can u say its bad or good? Ocf is different between unlagged and normal not unlagged game. Ihmo good limit for e+ is -20.
sorry for OT and plz stop it.

 This isn't OSP. But okay, I'll stop. I'm just sharing what I've experienced... I didn't say I was an expert. :-#

on the osp server i most times play the nudge is limited to -10

i have serious network problems, and timenudge -10 is the only thing that helps me play. so, at least for me, its a must.
