Plus.cfg Download and Suggestions
wrote:I suggest u go to read again. I wont change anything in plus.cfg, just some little things for gametype 4 (if needed).yes, but i still think that the instarail is important at ctf too... if you suddenly can survive a railshot with armor, the flagcarriers will try to gather some armor before intruding the enemy base and the whole game will become a lot slower I GUESS.
what i like about plus.cfg in the ctf gametype is the speed and one big factor in my opinion is the instarail...
CTF has been a fast game type since Mr. Pants Excessive Overkill days and that mod didn't have any insta rail so I don't think i will make much difference , anyways is just an interesting variation of what you already have just like in 1vs1 where grenades are morel like gaynades (sticky ftw) many don't like it but most people agree it adds something special to the game type.
About that lg thing.. IMO if u make it stronger at least u could remove the splash damage. Other weapon that it's not much used is plasma, maybe more speed for it would be cool.
F1 for lg and also slight increase of mg dmg
F1 too for pg but less damage then
Rockets can be destroyed, sometimes i see that i shot a perfectly timed rocket (one of those orgasmical shots) and by any crap situation it gets destroyed, would be nice not to destroy rockets.
Yes, but then slightly lower rocket cycle
For bfg decrease splash dmg (maybe increase direct hit however)
Sg no trail
Nade ok
Imo rail should stay insta no matter how much armor you have (let's play cpma for a true armor system)
about instaswitch, need to be tested to see if moves are ok
about mj, keep at least 2
about mj, keep at least 2
So that would be 2 total jumps, seems best solution if mj's can't be completely removed.

if i decrease splash damage of bfg, u have to learn all the moves with bfg, since it is the splashdamage of bfg which lets u move like u move (not knockback), sure i can try to compensate it with knockback, but wouldnt be the same.
Hmm ok, thought it was just about knockback.

Christ, why do people always say that whenever a basic principle of plus.cfg is discussed. Even if you'd made rail 4 hits/kill on full health and armor like in cpm, even if you'd remove multijumps, even if you'd make the armor tier system the same, E+ plus.cfg would be an abyss away from cpm gameplay.
I'm all for making armor actually useful. Can't go wrong with adding a little more depth to the shallow gameplay of E+.
Also, something needs to be changed, camping and spamming are more of a problem than ever before, and that shit got old a long time ago.
I have been working on that plus2.cfg for a long time now, sending it to mow and flex, etc. here its how it currently looks like.
Completely commented, so you can see what the changes are, and explanations why i made them.
Attachement deleted by mow, since not all changes will be recognized.
i have not read anything of here and i dont know if its possible, but i have two things that annoy me:
1) u cant multijump on steps
2) on round walls you cant use rocket launcher for knockback
i dont think this is a config problem but if it is fix it xD

its not. its a e+ bug (or feature, depends on how you look at it).
its done so you cant gain excessive speed and altitude by multijumping next to slopes.

That's even more campy and switchy with armor system in E+ imo.
I tested some games on move.cfg on ctf1 (the ctf1 special for move.cfg), getting all armor and mh, and the game was clearly more campy and switchy. Campy because you camp armor until you reach max or so, and switchy because without insta, you are just going to switch to another weapon after you hit with rail in case the freak survives.
As a result, make the game slower, I don't think that's a good idea.

@1337warez
2 mjs = 3 jumps in total, the 1st jump is not multijump
