I have a few suggestions for these CFG's. More focus on plusN as this seems to be the main one played now. Also as plusN is in beta it seems appropriate to ask some things.

1. You know if you get killed just after firing a rocket/bfg I find the projectiles disappear. I don't know 100% if this always happens I may be mistaken.

Could we have it so the projectiles continue even after you are fragged or get frozen. This would add in my opinion a more interesting and fair element to the game.

For example: I'm in a tight corridor or room, and I see the enemy coming and I fire a BFG. Lets say the oncoming enemy rails me coming into the small corridor, but is also heading towards my bfg shot.The enemy won't get hit because their shot landed first killing/freezeing me thus cancelling my BFG shot.

This is unrealistic in my opinion. In a more realistic situation, even though I got hit first by the rail, my BFG shot should still continue in that I have a chance to get a revenge frag back. Obviously it depends on the situation, my shot might miss, but if the said enemy WAS in face on target with my BFG shot, then they should also get hit and fragged.

I so often fire a nice bfg or rocket, but then to have it cancelled as I get railed first. I'm sure many of you when playing have the same feeling. BFG/rockets shots shouldn't merely disappear, and in normal games this doesn't happen.

2. Get rid of the damn shield powerup, it lasts too long, and you are unable to do anything to anyone with it, and those who do have it are god basically for like 10 seconds... which in e+ game is a long time.

Thx let me know what you think. Though I stress more emphasis on point number 1 as opposed to number 2 as that's more subjective.

Again these are just ideas and suggestions.

1) No configuration can make the missiles disappear. Maybe what happened to you is the effect of destroyable missiles, so after you shoot your missile it was destroyed before reaching the target and that make you think it always disappear.

2) Spawn protection only lasts 1.5 seconds in plusN and 1 second in plus, and only in tag/clan arena. It makes things more fair and the protection is dual-sided: it protects both the player spawning and the spawnraper.

3) Please post your cfg-related doubts and suggestions in the config zone.

I was talking about the powerup that gives players a golden shield (not sure if it's on every map). It's also probably less than 10 seconds that it lasts, I was exaggerating a little, but I still think it's pointless.

That one is the battlesuit, and it does last 30 seconds. I think the reason why it is so powerful (along with quad) is for you to move more. Ask fala, plusN mantainer, hes open for suggestions.

OMG Shock

i had come to this mod ONLY coz there u shouldn't pick up weapons\armours\power-ups and all this shit and no need to count time before items spawns and it WAS funny, quick mod where u can only move, aim and fire but now this config is killing almost all it's spirit and speed, now power-up camp reopened again etc etc etc Evil Evil Evil

only disable bfg-jumps and multi-jumps left to became another CPMA\QL Crying((((((((

STOP THAT!!!!!!!!!!! Give me old PLUS.CFG without all this crap, plz, plz, plz!!! Maybe with a bit stronger anti-camp Winking

P.S. Apologises to all cfg developers all this isn't personal :oops:

It's monotonous and not funny as you say. This uninteresting game will bother in the first day.

It's monotonous and not funny as you say. This uninteresting game will bother in the first day.

And this is said by player who registered in forums at the ends of year 2008????

i'm playing it much longer and it WAS funny! Ye, maybe i'm not spending in the game half of my life but the way i described satisfy all my needs - quick fun, and its going to be ruined... ((( After FW yesterday i 1st time thought about quit e+, and its after pretty many ages here... Now only my clanmates and friends holds me here... sad...

e+ is really about having unlimited chances then having a item based gameplay.

any item is a very small addition, even a powerup, not a main reason why u might kill someone.

That is only one config. Plusbeta is same as 1.03 plus.cfg (ok the switch feels a little different but it will feel better on next release) and is still out there, but if people doesnt play it then that means people are starting to like plusn more. Give it a try, i also thought as you when i first played plusn, is just a matter of getting used to, or you can also convince more people to play plusbeta (or camel's plusc, since its almost the same i think).

Also, you have to admit that plus.cfg had several problems of its own too. Even while you and i and several people move a lot, the opposite is also true: a lot of people camp in excess. Room camping has always been a problem (or others would call it strategy) in clan wars for example, even for top clans. Why? Because there was no need to move, its safer to wait for the enemy than attacking. Plusn tries to solve these problems i think, some like it and some not, and only time will tell if its really successful or not.

E+ is about all what u can imagine and what is possible through configs.

U wanted to say:
E+ in past was only about that...

If people play one config, than it is about that. If people play more than 1 config, it is about more configs.

If u want useless powerups, u can play on aim+ server, if u want play with more than just hide and seek, play on beer freezer, if u want to play something else, make ur own config, and create a popular server, it is not impossible to make a popular server nowadays, but u need much efforts and willing friends to do so.

actually i wanted to say that adding item based map control is like adding a legal cheat to a game.
ever played a osp 1on1? first time u mostly end up in an enemy who knows all ur spawns and though, can predict where u are and give u directrocket hits when u spawn and walk through next door.

u can do a perfect strafejump, u can aim perfect, ur enemy has the map control and beats u with his weapons he collected whole time while u just had a few seconds, or with his armor while u just spawned.

the rocket in normal quake is kind of a lucky weapon, its mostly about who managed to make an enemy run into a direct hit, since u also can use it as spam while u cant do that with rail.

in e+ u always were rewarded for doing things well, if u heard an enemy and shot a bfg right before he enters the door u get the kill, if u missed hearing him u mostly get killed.

adding an item like a battlesuit is like a cheat, no matter how perfect u play, u react fine, u aim fine, u give the enemy 2 hits and he gives u one and u are dead.
when an enemy has a aimbot u can aim as good as u want, give ur best, u wont have a chance.

even in e5 and e5r items are NOT important, rather like an addition if u won an mg fight vs an enemy and u are down to 50 health, then they do pay off, otherwise, barely.

there is no need for adding such a thing like item map control into e+, then we can go play cpma too, it will end up the same, u can give an battlesuit carrier as many hits as u want, the chances u kill him are low.

and most of all, we dont need a config split, fala and camel should get along and create 1 config, there is enough to tweak to make the game a bit more interesting here and there, like having a ra of 100 and place a few more of them on one map and not just 1.
