plusN/plus CFG suggestions

people on public are no teamworkers, we both know that it theoretically should work, but practically doesnt.
maps also make people camp btw.

Just one thing from my side: why in the fuck would anyone, ever, call a power-up a 'legal cheat'? Look up what power-up means. It's supposed to put the beneficient in a clear advantage over other, power-up deprived players.

That's the fucking point of power-ups. Like Quad in ql tdm. If you see a blue glow filling a doorway you wanted to run in, you know you're gonna be dead in a few seconds. If you're the one who has Quad, you feel the god-damned power. You feel like a god. And that's exactly how it's supposed to be.

well, i experienced that camping became much less with new powerup system, since it is really worth to run for it. It also makes Wars more interesting.

So please, do not say it is not like that, if i SAW that it is like that. Camping will be always there, to avoid it, u must do something like "player dies if he stops moving 15 units per second", but fact is, camping became definitly much less.

And this is the main point, why i like plusN so much.

as long as camping pays off, people do it, as long as u keep weapons which instantly kill an enemy, camping pays off.

if u really want to avoid camping, then put a thawtime of ~45 seconds so team with more people needs to rush and get the last enemys before they thaw.

I still can't get why anti-camp doesn't work? it was almost perfect in Edawn config. (I have almost fallen from chair rofling when we were playing some fw vs some campy clan with edawn.cfg and on dm7 after warmup 3of5 theirs ppl have died in RA room by camperalert Tongue) And thats the way like it should happen with all campers. But maybe anticamp timer should stop during thawing m8s, dont think its very hard to make...

And implementing item-based gameplay just ruin all principles of e+ I mean it gonna be totally other new mod, and why it should change so much?

i agree that mod must evolve but not change cordinally like it gonna happen...

Fact is, e+ has no principles. So, please do not speak about "mod" if u mean config.

Nevertheless, this is a great idea imo.

Anyway, there are a lot of people who like new PlusN config, which brought many great things for my tastes, why i should refuse it, just because others like classical plus/bro gameplay more?

I want to play plusN, so i play beer, others who don't like it, can play aim+. What config is wars are played, is up to clanleaders. I can play all bro/plus based configs and i wont say no, i dont play war because it is not plusN.

The sense of E+ is the freedom to make any config u can imagine, and not to stick to 1 config. I love plusN, because it needs much more attention and "more different skills" than classical plus/bro.cfg.

Nah, everything has own principles... and i'm talking exactly about MOD and that this cfg breaking them hard.

i see e+ plus-side those main principles:
1. no self-damage
2. all weapons from spawn
3. multijumping
4. no powerups and items pickup
5. most weapons have knock-back
6. insta-rail

and it looks like this 'new' cfg breaking 2 of 6 aka 33,33% of them. 2 more such initiatives and we can just unite with promode...

and yes, i stopped play beer freezer and now only play aim+ servers, but tdm tournament has plusN as gaming cfg, so if i wanna help mr'z i must play it Sad (good that i don't like tdm so prefer to play it only if its strongly needed)

You express urself very awkwardly, doc. U spoke the whole time about whole e+.

Anyway, so maybe the time has come to rename plusN in something not plus-releated? That would be a bit redicolous.

Imo there are aproximatly as much players who like plusN as players who prefer old plus. In ur oppinion 1 of this group must refuse. At least that is what i read in ur posts. I do not want to refuse and will play plusN as long it is played.

I must admit, the general intollerance and discussion-resistance annoys me a little bit.

Don't get me offensive please, but all looks so narrow-minded, somehow.

*points on the config run on server is decided by admin and not choosen by people, while people accept bugs aind mistakes within a mod/config*

if we talk about e+, we mostly mean excessiveplus bro community.
the mod itself supports more, but its like in cpma, if u talk about cpma u mostly mean the physics while the mod supports vq3.
