Using my asus with a cheap DP cable now, works good.
absolutely not, they`re both good and got very low input lag for mouse. there are 2 differences between them, for gsync u need peripherals with nvidia integrated gsync hw, with freesync u can use it wherever without limitations. the other thing with free sync is that u can also uncap vsync for get more fps but u`ll get again input lag and it`s a useless option anyway. personally i`d go for amd freesync since its open and free, instead of using gsync and being constricted to have nvidia-friendly peripherals.
ah and, there are just 2 things to keep in mind : 1st is relative to the ghosting, gsync minimizes this effect more n better due to dedicated hardware related to it, 2nd is that freesync can allow same graphic results as gsync only as long as the fps produced doesn`t go under the minimum limit of the monitor. so for example if ur monitor can`t reproduce less than 40 fps, using freesync, if when u playing u gonna go under 40fps u`ll get again cutting, with gsync u dont got such limit coz if ur video card will not send enough fps, the monitor will re-use the latest fps twice or more times, resulting in no cutting. at the end of the day, gsync has more quality and less limits, this comes with the price to have gsync related peripherals, freesync its open and free instead and grants u almost same quality level.
thank you for stating something i already know.

DR. Diablo explains....
thank you for stating something i already know.
noone asked you to explain anything
noone asked you to explain anything
ufas did so go back to kitchen
Return ur Dr. degree Diablo.
The reason why I am a good Gamer is because I mostly know the stuff I am talking about - YOU DON'T.
I don't care weither it is plain stupidy, lack of mathematically intelligence or just simply not being interested in the details.
1st is relative to the ghosting
There is no Sync technology that fixes ghosting. Ghosting is when ur lcd is so slow that u see the old image while the new one is displayed. Therefor Gamers go with Screens with a lot of HZ and small color change times. - My Asus does both, I have nearly zero ghosting compared to a crt.
This is Ghosting -> http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/5b/TV_ghosting_interference.jpg
This is Screen tearing -> http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/0/03/Tearing_%28simulated%29.jpg/797px-Tearing_%28simulated%29.jpg
The last one is the effect you want to avoid by syncing the rendering device with the displaying device.
For details of all 3 technologys:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FreeSync
There are posts of HQ testing Vsync and forcing his screen to run 125hz for example.
The problem I am talking about is this1:

http://www.overclock.net/t/1246149/bf3-possible-vsync-trick-no-input-lag-frame-sync-no-tearing
The problem with Gsync and Freesync seems to be the same Program logic.

Read stuff up urself, but it seems Gamers will keep playing with sync turned off so every part of the computer runs at its max.

you missunderstood me , let me rephrase , noone asked YOU to explain
im stupid
hmm seems lately u more idiot than usual, all what u wrote in this last post, i know EVERYTHING related to it already, dont even know why u tried to explain me...u try to explain ME what is ghosting and tearing? i dont even know why u wasted ur time asnwering me, it was pretty obvious u didnt know a fuck about gsync and freesync, u wrote it CLEARLY, then when i post my knowledge u come out that u know everyhing, and now for show me that u know, u gone read on wikipedia n posted me links thinkin ur the man. plus u sending me posts of 2012 related to vsync, totally useless, we all know vsync sux balls, BUT now with gsync and freesync seems its pretty much better. ghosting i know exactly as u say that its coz of slow monitor response...i see it everyday on my fuckin lcd/tv of shit on my pc...still seems that with gsync ghosting is reduced due to ADDITIONAL NVIDIA HARDWARE INTEGRATED IN THE MONITOR COZ OF GSYNC TECHNOLOGY. with this last answer u trolled urself 2time with ur own hands, u should read ur signature more often, less arrogance would be damn healty little "good gamer", since when u are a good gamer? coz on e+ u can make some frags? lol anyway, i forget to say that freesync and gsync doesnt limit u to 60hz but till 144 n more, i just rememberd that i didnt mention this before.
on freesync monitors, due also to panel choices, the ghosting seems mostly more visible, with gsync instead its more less noticeable coz it manages the amount of the pixel`s tension on the base of the refresh rate used. this allows to the pixels to turn on n off in different way based on the refresh rate of the monitor on the base of the frame rate.
