I think what this community needs or lets say its about time more serious players looked long and hard at trying to set standards. Although this thread was started with good intentions it still remains as a shining example of what I am on about. The current standards for cheat detection and prevention are virtualy non existent, I am left wondering if the majority take cheat detection and prevention serious at all?

You then as an intelligent adult have to pose the following questions.

1- Is cheat detection and prevention a priority for the mod developers and serious players?

3- Do they think more could be done to improve the situation given the current public server setup?

I aim these questions at more serious players, the mod developers, community server administrators and active clan leaders within the community.

omfg this is fuckin bs, i dont fuckin cheat and i know that, i can go to pb servers and i have never played as moo, me and my brother use the same game and half of those names i have never fucking used. if i cheated i would have the guts to admit it. but i dont fuckin cheat and i know i dont, tell me how i can prove it and i will prove to you.

Hey I would like to talk to you regarding the banning on Ram, I know this is going to sound really stupid but you have to believe me, Paynee/Ram is a mate of mine at school and for ages I wanted to get quake 3 but couldnt be arsed because it was such an old game, so I asked paynee to make me a copy for £1 and he hesitated because it had his config onit, and I took the game home, dragged quake into my programe files, and loaded e+ up, I pretty much got my assed kicked, so I thought id be a bit of a prick and find a hack, and I found one called monkey666 which basicaly shoots when you put your mouse over a player, and it was fun for a while until people got pissed off and I got banned, I thought fair enough, but then today I find out my mate paynee has got banned and hes really pissed off with me, and if theres anyway I can proove hes inocent tell me because I swear he is, now my msn is if you want to talk on there, and im willing (obviously to delete quake completely off my computer, I just want to get paynee unbanned because he really tries at this game and pretty much loves it, -Fraser- (moo)
