e+ is becoming to look more and more like a cheap soap opera. ppl caught cheating are using a huge variety of excuses. I'm not saying Ram is a liar or he's telling the truth, I'm just saying that what he did was a dumb thing to do.

the anger is being directed to my ak , and my ak is being directed to frasers dam face. i mean i told him not to flame , aimbot, act like a noob, etc. so what does he do straight away does it. and yes get the ip i can gurantee it aint mine. i swear guys, i dont aimbot. quake girls booze and weed are my life Sleepy without one, i cant DO the other. Pure is undisputely the best in detecting 'abnormalities'...
but...
Sometimes u get unpure of the wierdest reasons.
Uncustom maps in your baseq3-folder seem to be enough to get you kicked/not allowed to connect (unpure).
Imho pure depends too much on the servers files!
Pure is determined wheter your files match the serverfiles, not if they really are pure (original) and not tampered with sort of speak!

PB is a global thingie, regularily updated and run with the proper md5 check it does just about the same thing as pure is intended to do.
A proper md5 checksum is calculated by the standard and pure Q3 original pk3's. If a PK3 doesnt match, its not allowed to load and u are not allowed to connect. Reason will be logged...
PB detects many active bots too. In many cases guessing or suspecting is therefore not needed.
Its not very hard to add custom cvar checks, but this should be done with caution coz a simple too tight setting euquals 'out of range' and will get u kicked perhaps by a reason not intended.
Further PB offer so many more possibilities for the admins...

PB does lag your game for up to a few minutes when you log on, while it do its checks.
I think its worth that brief lag Happy

i beg to differ, pb lags your game throughout your whole gaming session...this was one of the main reasons why it wasnt implemented as standard on servers a while ago.
