.Problems With Mouse.
I don't think it'll be somehow possible to help me but it's my last hope
Explanation:
First of all, I had my video card broken and then about after 1 week we bought a new one. When everything was done I ran quake 3(maybe I updated pb before - it might be one more causing reason) and realised that my mouse goes a way too bad(sensitivity+accel+movement at all). Acceleration is really poor, it became too smoothy. Everything became wrong which belongs to mouse. I executed my cfg, I checked all settings from SetPoint and even Windows mouse settings, updated Logitech drivers. Everything was putted back as it was always when I played(I talk about settings). But mouse settings are still shitty when I play quake. Maybe something's broken in the mouse itself. I don't know... This story sounds like stupid mystery Maybe someone knows how to help me. Just don't tell me reconfigure your settings, because it's freaking hard to take back my good old balance. I want my settings back in action.
Peace.
Different drivers/cards will give you a different feel, at least does for me. Have you checked if Windows accel is disabled? If not download an accelfix and check.
What r u doning whit ur mouse? (playing chess, bowling, poker...)?
I have similar with my G9 and I found why accel and sens fucked up.
Maybe you need to check It.
axis Y and axis X must have the same dpi seeting if you use it on set point. If It not the same mouse crazy on the game. Don't know how it work on G5 but on my G9 it's important. I hope It's help you to found your reason.
I hope u will fix that problem.
Things that affect sensitivity (not mouse related):
FRAMERATE. if your FPS are different, so is your sensitivity. i recomend locking to 125fps.
REFRESH RATE. Ati cards are notorious to force 60hz refresh rate. use a refresh rate locker, and set it to your old refresh. Different screen refresh = different sensitivity!
Thanks Mirc! I'll try.
@Dibe: I felt bad sense only in Quake 3. I don't play other games. I think Mirc is right - it's because of new drivers for ATI card. Previous was NVidia.
