I havn't cleaned my hole computer in a long time, i've cleaned the dust off the case, but i havn't cleaned my videocard in ummm ahh *cough* 6 years could i get more fps if i vacume the hole thing out good and get the dust out?

one way of doing it:

set your \snaps to match exactly server fps
then
set your \com_maxfps to 125
then
start with \cl_maxpackets 100 and keep adjusting this lower and lower by 10 each time.... because what you want is the lowest maxpackets you can use with your connection - watch when your ping starts changing - when you find this lowest maxpackets with no loss of play quality keep maxpackets there... this should be your optimum setting...

if you suffer packet loss you can duplicate packets sent by using:

\cl_packetdup <variable>

so on really laggy server you can tweak by setting say \cl_packetdup 4
this would duplicate all packets 4 times... so the laggier the server the higher you set. if on a nice smooth server with good connection use \cl_packetdup 0
