16 bit colors?
i already spoke with foksie about this1, since i dont got the time to do some test and google myself i post here.
when i switch from 1024x768 to 1280x1024 my quake goes from 32 bit colors to 16 bit.
looks ugly.
buy new graphic acc. with more powa
wrote:buy new graphic acc. with more powaits not my 7600gs, its my super old monitor which doesnt make more then 60 hz on 1280x1024
hey, we have similar hardware I have 7600GS too and old 17" CRT which has 60HZ in max 1280x960. Btw 1280x1024 isnt 4:3 !
There are used 19" CRT displays which can do 100Hz at 1280 res for less then 50 euro...I dont see whats the problem, unless ur really, really broke.
I play with 16 bit and picmip 11..
problem fixed, it was due to too high display refresh.
now i just have to fix the lowfps xD
mm hows that; or do not understand correctly what u write or can u clarify how is connected (how effects each other) each to other: resolution - bits - display refresh ?
write couple examples - will be enough
I need some advice. i use:
21" monitor
1268 - 768 (whatever it is)
120 refresh rate
/r_swapinterval "1"
/com_maxfps 125
the fps flicker at 120/121 but its reasonably smooth, but its not good enough. all my graphic settings are lowish also.
when i use any other setting the fps are about 125 it fucks up and the graphics shred e.g
/r_swapinterval "0"
/com_maxfps 125
i have tried using a lower display mode like 800 x 600 but it looks shitty.
Also i tried lowering the refreshrate to 100 and it makes it worse.
Am I missing something here? i defrag/spyware/keep hd to minimum
Basically am getting the most i can get out of my pc as its a 2.2 ghz processor ?
