There are used 19" CRT displays which can do 100Hz at 1280 res for less then 50 euro...I dont see whats the problem, unless ur really, really broke.

mm hows that; or do not understand correctly what u write or can u clarify how is connected (how effects each other) each to other: resolution - bits - display refresh ?

write couple examples - will be enough

The majority of people think they think, when really they just change their prejudices. Understanding is a matter of will in most cases.

I need some advice. i use:

21" monitor
1268 - 768 (whatever it is)
120 refresh rate
/r_swapinterval "1"
/com_maxfps 125

the fps flicker at 120/121 but its reasonably smooth, but its not good enough. all my graphic settings are lowish also.

when i use any other setting the fps are about 125 it fucks up and the graphics shred e.g
/r_swapinterval "0"
/com_maxfps 125

i have tried using a lower display mode like 800 x 600 but it looks shitty.
Also i tried lowering the refreshrate to 100 and it makes it worse.
Am I missing something here? i defrag/spyware/keep hd to minimum
Basically am getting the most i can get out of my pc as its a 2.2 ghz processor ?
