yes, but no cheat in classic way, u cant give someone a global ban, just because he is using a default command, which is just bugged.

examplary, peoples with a better pc as urs, can make settings, (fps-to-maxpackets), that u barely can hit them, but for them, they are just default settings, because their pc can reach the limits.

anyway. no cause for global ban.

for example if someone is standing behind a wall and wait for you, you will see his shadow there before you see him Happy or if someone is ducking on a ledge his shadow can be seen from under but not his model Happy

well i agree that maybe a ban for a bug is harsh, but didnt we talk about banning for over use of the rail bug? just think if this thing makes you see enemy like wallhack nearly, then it shouldnt be used and should be stopped at all costs.

maybe global ban is harsh, but anyone who uses it is clearly knowing what they are doing and that it will gain an unfair advantage, is that fair, players already experienced at quake being able to see shadows through walls?

It's not necessarily fair. But it's not really a cheat either. Thus the person in question was kicked and has hopefully removed the cvar. If not, they will be kicked again until they get it. Isn't that enough?

all in all this bug has to be judged as cheat from the server owner. If server owner allows it there is nothing to bitch about, and if server owner has a rule that this will lead to kick twice, then ban, it shouldnt be used.

enable pb anywhere Happy, sucks, but only solution! u cant prove it on non pb-servers. Confused

Really? Who has the final word on clearance? If there is someone all-knowing, let's get rid of the thread and just e-mail them. How many times are demos downloaded from here? How many people out of those actually bother to comment? What do the people who don't comment think? Why do the people who do comment say anything and why didn't other people who downloaded the demo say the same thing? These are all questions to consider.
