He is talking about that recording tool... q3sdc? Or smt. Krast, for your info, PB detects any programs taht run with Q3, regardless if they're cheats or not. I got kicked by PB a few times for using that minimizer tool. :roll:

Anyway, that's totally unrelated. The file that Panic was kicked for is a QUAKE 2 cheat. And i seriously doubt Panic even put it in there myself... imo, let's just drop all of this and focus on catching real menaces.

Two things - Panic, please make sure your quake 3 copy is ABSOLUTELY clean, there is a thread in the "client setup" subforum about cleaning up your q3 copy. And punch Ram in his face for giving you so much grief here, coz of his cheating ways.

and the circle make next turn iven if we do tried to make some rules/standard for this kind of sytuations and whole comunity agreed to that....

why a hell he used same copy of q3 for what he almoust get banned on all server once?

why in q3 directory was a cheat for q2?

why in pb.cfg it was marked as iligal file?

wana known why? couse it works same as in q2 that why it is in pb.cfg and q3 directory god dam it, and he must be totaly brainles to make the same mistake 2 times, exacly the same mistake...

i really doubt if the mod is gonna be "let down" by the behavior of one person.

I just think we should go with the "different case, different solution" attitude.

Look guys, i know it's easier that way - he's found with some stuff in his folder twice, let's ban him. But there are people who just don't know shit about that stuff, they don't know how it works.

Of course, i'm not defending Panic here, he really should have known better. And when that first case went up, i was saying to ban him, too. But now, i'm finding it hard to believe he would cheat. I mean, c'mon.

1. He's not really that a good player. He's decent, but he dosen't kick such tremendous amounts of ass.

2. What kind of stupid fucking idiot, after being caught once, lectured, and told that if it happens again he will be banned forever, would go back to his cheating ways, under his full nick, and on one of the most safest servers around?

3. I dunno what was that file doing there (we'd have to ask Ram, i guess), but it's an old one from what i've read, it's out of use since forever, and 95% of it's functions are usable only in q2. And let's not forget: it was a md5tool mismatch, not a ban for active cheats. Means, it wasn't loaded in the memory at the time.

Anyway. If it were dependant on me, i would give the guy this one, final, totally last chance. I just believe him, he comes up to me as trustworthy. Maybe i'm being naive here, i dunno...
