I'll test on different USB ports to start, never thought of that Maybe I'll try disabling some of the ports I don't use also. This machine has six of them, ffs. :roll:

check programs in background cuz q3 is very sensitive on programs working in background and they cause fps drops (in gama lags) its main reason of button holding. That why is impossible set 1000hz on g5 or other mouse without any problems. btw i played long on g5 @ 1000hz in cs and nothing bad happened, only in q3 i have this crap with mouse.

im start test mices harder and harder and now im add to intelliMouse 3.0 (negative accel) pointer act very good but in very quick move its have negative acceleration how its looks like ? watch demo
btw to make it more visible im used this time around 90cm per turn, the sides moves from right to left take mine whole pad wich is 45cm long, when im try make very quick move mouse pointer slowing down somtimes iven to moment when its just shake in one point, but in normal gameplay im dosent fell that thing at all
meybe tomorow im gona write article about IE 3.0

When i change to 1000hz cpu drop to about 55% usage when i move her and watch at program manager when you see cpu usage, when 500hz cpu about 35% on 125hz about 15%. So at 1000hz when is lot of ppl at server my fps droping down. my cpu is P4 1.7ghz.
(btw my G5 mouse don't have any traction loss, maybe cuz i have BF2142 edition or maybe it's only new logo on mouse =] )
btw2 There is also new g5 refreshed from 2007 year with 2side buttons like mx518.

We are still at testing phase, got g5 about 2 months,
so we switching from 125(8ms) to 1000(1ms) to see every differences.

there are few posibilites
firs try to plug mouse to another usb port
it migt be cause registry changes (u might try mouse on new os)
it might be due hardware damage (dunno how to spel in en 'kondensatory' ended thier life and mouse cant work no higer frequency, it might be also couse the same part are waysted in pc usb, test mouse on deferent pc)
u must check all posibilies to know what is wrong if its software or hardware in mice or motherboard
