building in bfg jumps is nuby and lame.
if u rly wanna map where u can improve bfg jump then clip it ordinary so u can slide around every, but still can reach the bfg spots.

If you think bfg slides are nuby and lame go have fun with pro multi jump configs or maybe leave and play CPMA mr pro.

What exactly is sliding? I never played excessive before, just berylium and freeze.

Basically its moving arround walls etc by weapon knockback.

The specific thing about bfg slides is that you cant shoot a bfg anywhere and slide. It has to be a corner, so that all the nades that a bfg explosion spawn detonate at the same time.

Slight variations in angle give different launch directions. Its a delicate thing.

but unfortunalelty,even after loading them on E+ ftp,and moving them to the right repertory, they dont show up on s erver's page, to be downloaded from.

And no screenshot on server's page either as u can see .

Changes : Logo of E+ ,now shows on splashscreen.

Foxsie showed me the ropes of excessive last night and I checked out some of the other maps so I believe I have a good idea on how to design and build the map. Hopefully I'll have something good for you guys soon!

Hi everyone (it's my first post here)!

I think the problem with the maps is that they simply weren't made for e+. I've had a brief look at this mod and believe me: making maps for it has little to do with making maps for vq3 or cpma.

I think you should give mappers some time to get used to the gameplay of e+ and not rush things just to have a mappack asap. I guess you've also got some people around here who are dedicated e+ players and mappers. Would be cool if some of these guys could give a few hints on the essentials of making a good e+ map.

It takes time to make a good map, and it needs a lot of people who are testing it and giving useful comments and criticism. Don't drop the idea entirely just because it may take some time.

Finally words that make sense. Testing and testing and serious feedback and testing again, and some more testing... This can't be done with 1 mapper that doesn't know the mod, a handful of people and a couple of betas only Worried

Hi, spirit.Welcome to our forums !

It is hard to give an adequate response to E+ gameplay in maps.It needs creativity,and knowledge of the mod.(though i am still open for any propostition ) The other way of doing it, is to choose maps from the recent production of good mappers, and adapt it to our mod,when necessary.

q3shw14 and 20, have been tested ,and i am giving more time to other maps to be made.there is still three to go,and we have plenty of time.(not eternity Happy ).

As for the community of E+ having some good mapper of the level of talent we need, i started a thread, a year and a half ago, about this http://forums.excessiveplus.net/viewtopic.php?t=10210&start=0 , and still nothing of the needed quality, has been produced.I am going a lot slower than you may think.This has started long time ago.

Because of this poor result. i reached to www.quake3world.com and to www.levelmakers.com. Unfortunalty,as you may know,i got very little feedback there,only shadow86 and he is good and has done great maps some of which can become classics here , if we just give them a chance.but,If you can propose something constructive,i am in.
