Need Map testers [Urgent]
Exactly Speed is the key in a ctf map, make it with some good slide spots but large enough so players won't score in 3 seconds, something with the mkbase feel but bigger like mapel4b and 4 entrances/exits on each base to add versatility to the capture/defense strategy.
building in bfg jumps is nuby and lame.
if u rly wanna map where u can improve bfg jump then clip it ordinary so u can slide around every, but still can reach the bfg spots.

What exactly is sliding? I never played excessive before, just berylium and freeze.
Basically its moving arround walls etc by weapon knockback.
The specific thing about bfg slides is that you cant shoot a bfg anywhere and slide. It has to be a corner, so that all the nades that a bfg explosion spawn detonate at the same time.
Slight variations in angle give different launch directions. Its a delicate thing.

Foxsie showed me the ropes of excessive last night and I checked out some of the other maps so I believe I have a good idea on how to design and build the map. Hopefully I'll have something good for you guys soon!

I think the problem with the maps is that they simply weren't made for e+. I've had a brief look at this mod and believe me: making maps for it has little to do with making maps for vq3 or cpma.
I think you should give mappers some time to get used to the gameplay of e+ and not rush things just to have a mappack asap. I guess you've also got some people around here who are dedicated e+ players and mappers. Would be cool if some of these guys could give a few hints on the essentials of making a good e+ map.
It takes time to make a good map, and it needs a lot of people who are testing it and giving useful comments and criticism. Don't drop the idea entirely just because it may take some time.
Finally words that make sense. Testing and testing and serious feedback and testing again, and some more testing... This can't be done with 1 mapper that doesn't know the mod, a handful of people and a couple of betas only
