Um den Multiprozessorbetrieb zu aktivieren öffnet man mit einem Editor [4] die Datei .q3a/baseq3/q3config.cfg und ändert den Punkt seta r_smp "0" in seta r_smp "1" um.

Dualcore
to activat the multicoremode open the data .q3a/baseq3/q3config.cfg with a editor and change the point seta r_smp "0" to seta r_smp "1"
LINK: http://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/Spiele/Quake3 (strg + f suche : r_smp "1" )
MEGA NUUUB !!!
ps: what do you think what dualcore is ? that are two seperate cpus / cores in one chassi , they only share the bus.
r_smp 1 hasn't worked reliably since 2000 or so.
r_smp has problems, as invictus has stated
it causes freeze ups between map loads in most cases and in some cases using r_smp causes negative performance
this me talking from experience, it worked (slightly) on my AMD tower (though still froze between maps)however it does not work on my intel powered laptop
there is some cfg command that should be able to make dualcore support possible for quake3 , but tested it , doesnt work !
