The 280 is DEFINITELY capable of much higher ratings...
well i am sure that 280 is much more capable maybe i am too dumb every game plays so i dont really bother however i have to say
that i deactivated physx settings maybe thats why the fps are relatively so low!! who knows
i am not at home to make the test again with these settings on hehe
anyway i just can say that 280 rocks like hell!

ok i sayed, and i did, somehove i managed install graphic driver and run test inside small home pc holding place as server and router
so there they go:
hq. 36.5s - 35.4fps
low q. 24.7s - 51fps
and amazing power comes from:
debian os, intell mondecino 0.5ghz, ~390mb, Nvidia gf-100/200 2x/agp 32mb (160/180mhz)
so buy this one, main point why ?
its cheap
its consumes less power
u alaso can brake it for fun

Hi,
So with card on this topic takes a lead, gaining more overal sumed fps'es ?
And lets see, i'm home So her you go mine rezults:
1260frames.
4.0 seconds:
313.7 fps
this is max what i managed get from:
P4HT 2.5ghz, 512mb x840mhz,
NVIDIA Driver Version 173.14.09 Linux-x86, X.Org 11.0
GeForce 7600gs(128bit,agp8) 425x425mhz,
Cha cha beat me if you can
With that kind of older pc comparing to nova days rigs, it's kinda impresive fps.
nVidia will be always better. Not in performance but in compatibility with apps and alternative OS. ATI sux :!:
just to show kaktus (or was it zont?) a possible score for a slow pc:
Athlon xp 1600+
256 mb ddr1 266
radeon 9200 se
winxp sp2
result: 72.6 fps.
also can reach stable 75-80 fps on dm0 at startroom and generally 100 fps on dm7 while driver is on default (driver setting matter a lot).
should be possible to get more out of that system though x) xp takes a lot fps imo.
yes mandriva has good fps but it's boots up once per 100 times
