i just like throwing around ideas and thinking of ways to enhance things, maybe make more challenging, i dont expect people to agree in fact it is disagreement combined with resolution that makes progress.

suggestion for plus.
-slightly faster grenades reload with lower damage/splash damage
(for movement esp in ctf and on larger maps)
-slightly faster switch time on all weapons (120-130) or increase to 330-350 ups (to improve the flow of the game but decrease the reload on shotgun/bfg/rockets to stop consistent spamming of 1 weapon)
please argue against my points

its not making the game more interesting, its turning it into lets spam doorways. trust me ive been there, tested more 1v1 cfgs than you ever saw

btw. just to make sure i got the right idea. from what LITTLE ive seen in the 1on1 standings games and some few games ive played on the 2!S 1on1 server, the guy whos camping (creatively atleast) almost always wins anyway. and plus (or bro) 1on1 is basically just about spamming doorways and spawn kills. i dont see y u guys are saying removing multi-jumps will make that worse in some manner. there's only so much spamming of a doorway u can do and thats being done already.
ps: skull, what does how much 1on1 hes played have to do with how good goddam's points are? why are you being so narrow minded?

so do you honestly go jumping through doorways? i dont think so, i think you use bfg to slide around. from my limited experience i would suggest that the players with the best ability in the 1v1 circuit dont jump around at all, being in the air just makes you an easy target.
dude wich part of the
example: you can bfg slide from a corner, but if you do the slide by holding right strafe and forward and press jump twice you end up in completely different spot, the one you know enemy isnt spaming.

without multijumps slides all lead to the same position = enemy shooting stuff at that position...
ahh yeah i understand the point you are making, and i disagree.. you can use different angles of firing a bfg to lead to different positions, and do you know how to move with grenades? rockets? and rail? each can be used to gain velocity - if someones tactic is spamming a certain door or corridoor then good luck, i think you will find that is not a tactic of a 'good' player and if you are playing against someone who plays like this then i would hope as a veteran player you would know what to do to combat this.
the point i am making is a certain style has developed because of the multijumps, without any mj players would adopt new styles of play - it is human nature.. you are still thinking in the mj box, try going outside.

on most maps they lead you from a crap position to a worse crap position, ie leave you sitting duck to be railed in the ass.

mind you, they have great uses, but not when the enemy is expecting you... and especialy not without multijumps.

it sucks badly, its a spamorama, and in order to win you must be an even worse spammer/lamer than the opponent.
why dont you try it first, then try to spread propaganda?

The 2 logical steps of my argument are:
1) With the current fast reload times it is very easy to fill the bottom of the room, and not only that part, with explosions (spam) [*]
2) Your opponent must go "above" the spam. He'll use a weapon to "fly". With the current "slow" switch time it is ridiculous to even try.
My point is simple, if you want multiple jumps out you MUST change more things to make the game spam free and fast at the same time.
[*] edit: If you take only the multiple jumps out of the game you'll have excessive spam and/or excessive camp. Higher camp protection would only ruin the flow of the game.

ye, my bad on that one... but i did try his suggestion, mind you.
the thing is by removing multijumps you increase the ammount spam that cant be avoided.
to make it easier to avoid you should then allow faster switching to allow faster moves.
but by doing that you increase the ammount of spam further.
its kindoff a dead loop wich pretty much results in more spam.
other way is to increase switch time and reload times to reduce spam, but that just results in people standing in one place camping and waiting to fire a rail in your back after you perform a jump and are waiting to switch/reload your weapon.
