what im saying is that he uses slides well. and he doesnt play good without them.

same is with me, my rail acc is almost half when i dont slide, its just my gameplay. so removing multijumps = removing me from e+.

and plenty of other players.

I am proud of spreading a pirated Excessive Plus version and claim to be the original author, yay!

no see. im not trying to say slides are totally pointless. u do use them a lot and they do give u a lot of advantage if u can use them well (i dont think im all that good but i do move better than most e+'ers). but my point is, the bfg slides u tend to use most in the game are not so dependant on positioning of the shot or multijumps. most times u dont really get the time to use a fine-tuned slide in the middle of a game unless theres no enemy around u at all.

E+ is alive because of its solid base of oldtimers, mainly. I realized the last few months that it's difficult (impossible) to remove multiple jumps. No reason further to discuss this imo.

Maaaaaybe try 2 multiple jumps for some period.

ps Not even arguments work well in such cases. Beta testing is one-way.

that may be. but such arguments mite also result in alternative configs that mite interest people who arent really based in the historical origins of e+ wouldnt it? Big grin

Download the cfg i uploaded, it's a faster and stronger cpma cfg. I'd like to make changes (in nades and rail cycle for instance) and some things that 1.04 might fix.

I am not saying that this is the path the plus cfg should follow. I just uploaded it to show how the gameplay without multiple jumps would/could evolve.

Actually, the only things that there are to blame are terribly overpowered and unbalanced weapons (as was pointed out by Whineko Tongue Big grin), rocket/bfg spam combo and 1 hit 1 kill rail in particular, as well as the ability to move insanely fast throughout the map. A combination of all these elements, to be precise.

When you play against a better opponent, you're somewhat forced to camp, either all the time, or from time to time. Simple survival instinct. If you dont, you'll get outaimed, and in effect, will get killed. If the guy is your level, it's still a risky game, moving around like a headless chicken.

To make things funnier, most camp you'll find is between top skilled players. They respect their rail aim and spam skills (let's not be afraid to call it that) too much to put their delicate 300hp body to risk against a 900dmg rail. So they stalk each other, like demented voyeurs in a girls changing room lockers. It's not true for all top players, of course, they differ in their prefered game style, but i daresay everyone hides in a deep, dark corner from time to time, for long enough to take a breather, smoke a cig, drink a beer, and wait for the target to fly by.

What would REALLY, REALLY help? Reduced rail damage. Say, 200-250 dmg per shot. Reduced bfg speed (not by much, just enough to reduce it's effectiveness as an instant spam weapon). That's just IMO, and i know these changes wont find acceptance in most of the people, but just think about it. No insta rail, not afraid to go out and die in a second. Rockets are slow enough to make them near useless for anything else than spam anyway, it's just the bfg that splats all these nasty grenades all over @ high velocity missile speed.

Actually, i've created a config based off of plus.cfg with the changes i pointed out above, and tested it heavily with my (somewhat noobish, but still) friends, who play lots of CS (campers by nature ;p). They weren't as afraid to move their asses as they were when i could kill them with just one shot.. and since they have not-half bad aim, i werent as afraid to fly around the map like before (they usually out-percent my rail aim on 1/1's, i just maul them with my movement and spam combos).

Anyway, just saying.

oh, and how about finally bringing back the use of armor? pleaaaseee? those shards and shiny pieces of metal are there for more than making a cool sound when picked up

Step by step guide to breaking mow's balls:

1) Wait for 1.04 e+ release and its fixes (within march?)
2) Start beta testing alone or in packs
3) Punish mow and the others in the crew with your suggestions

ahahahahaha! mad and his small print.

same here. working on a few configs that mite alleviate atleast some of the camping and spamming issues. only problem is everytime i decide to just put a stop to camping and spamming entirely, i end up with a config very similar to cpma Happy.
