What to do against losing skills
oi!
What guys do you do when u notice you are losing skills?
I notice my skills are toning down in the past 3/4 weeks...
I play like +-5 hours a week, excluding wars/trains...
But mostly at wars i notice my skills are more weak then ever
Is it sensible to take a little break, or to just train more then 5 hours..
Do you recommend playing some kind of gametype? Practice more against bots or play more 1-1?
What do you guys do most of the time to get back at skills ?!
back in august (when i didnt suck) and sometimes couldnt play online, loading 5-7 bots on dm17 with a rail-based config did wonders, and i still can play that map, even though i suck ass at times...
Now i just dont have enough time, period, but still make time for EVOl, BNT and xXx

good question.
i used to play all the time but then i began to suck mostly coz getting bored of game an not botherd trying, now i just play from time to time.
u can never get to much practice but playing to much can make u suck too.
If ur tired take a break. Play when u really feel up to it then ur sure to have a better game
practice? i don't know, i've never played to be good (but it is frustrating if you have a drop in performance)
whatever happened to fun?
i would take a good break if you are really worried about a drop in performance (5 hours is a lot, boredom does occur. You can only kill someone so many times before you get tired of it)
yes it happens to me frequently which is why i take a week to a few or perhaps even a month off at times
i also find playing an easy game to help get your wrist/hand etc 'warmed up' i guess is an easy way of putting (no tension, hard pressure, etc. it will lead to healthier habits physically and playing) it helps a bit opposed to playing a hardcore game right when you get on, perhaps even stretching your arm/wrist etc before you play could help
of course i do not exercise that last part as much but it does work for me when i do do it
for me a little break, like one week, helps
and dont play too much
just play if u feel like playing.
play some games on osp/cpma and then get back to excessive, you'll feel e+ as easy or at least easier.
agree, if u play a config that has harder aspects, e.g weapons, movement, (cpma/iu/defrag) ur e+ skills will improve in those specific areas this is why if u ask a lot of the top players, they play more than 1 mod/cfg
i noticed that too much playing is poison for the skill. not long ago i played like 8 h / day and after two weeks i felt drained. i couldnt hit anything anymore. dont know if that happened only to me but i called it "overplayed".
so i took a break: i didnt play e+ for about 2 weeks. during that time i played other games but no first person shooter!
when i started e+ again, i had my (little) skills back.
i've lost my skills and i dont care. all that remains is the spam
i agree with taking a break. although concentration is the key... see how you can make yourself concentrate and that's half the battle.
stop caring for the score, once you managed youll play nicer again.
